About

Bright and colorful beach, surf, and sea turtle art by Island of Blue. Collections include whimsical waves, abstract maps, and beach nursery art.

Hi! I'm Kelly Coral, and welcome to Island of Blue! I grew up in Florida swimming in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and exploring beaches throughout the state. I spent many summers surfing on the Atlantic Coast and kayaking in and around the backwaters of Florida's many islands. The ocean has always had a very special place in my heart, and Island of Blue combines this with my passion for art. I started Island of Blue with a mission to inspire ocean protection and conservation through bright and colorful artwork.

Island of Blue creates bright and colorful beach and surf art, whimsical wave art, sea turtle and manatee art, abstract tourism-style maps, beach nursery art, and coastal home decor. All of my pieces start out as hand-drawn, original artwork and are either sold as originals or as fine art reproductions (prints), notecards, or fabrics of my artwork. Island of Blue donates a portion of all proceeds to The Turtle Hospital, which is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation in Marathon, Florida, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured sea turtles throughout the Florida Keys. Learn more about this wonderful organization through their website at www.turtlehospital.org.

Production partners

  • Screen Printer

    WI, United States

I partner with a screen printer to produce my flour sack tea towels. I send them my watercolor artwork, and they print it on the towels per my specifications. Once the towels are printed, I carefully inspect and package each one.

  • Fine Art Printer

    WI, United States

I partner with a fine art printer for my large prints and canvases. My watercolor artwork is reproduced in a manner that ensures color consistency with the original. I carefully inspect and package each piece prior to shipping.

  • Fabric Printer

    NC, United States

I partner with a fabric printer to print my artwork using a process called digital textile printing. I send them my watercolor artwork to be printed onto a linen-cotton fabric. I inspect all fabric prior to it being sewn into pillow covers.
