people kept telling me you should check out etsy and open up a shop...so I did

Hi! My name is Joe. I have a wife and three kids and I work all day in a button factory. One day, my boss said, "Joe, are you busy?" I said, "No."

No, no that's not my story.

My name is Melissa, the human being behind issa.ino:handmade. I'm the knitter, crocheter, zipper inserter and any other task that's required to keep this shop up and running.

I've been a crafty mother shut your mouth since I was young one. In high school, I was the student five chapters ahead in computer science asking for a hall pass to hang out and work on projects in the art room instead. And in college that friend who stayed in scrapbooking instead of going out to party with the crew.

issa.ino:handmade comes from the butt of my first name and the butt of my last name, but I didn't come up with that on my own. Another creative friend bequeathed it to me when I asked him to have a sit down with me to discuss business strategies. I added handmade since that's what I do and here we are.

The items in my shop have come about by way of necessity. I make myself a little something and then I make a couple more and then I think, I bet other people would enjoy these too. It makes me happy to be able to create and share the things I enjoy and it's always been a goal of mine to work for myself.

Another goal of mine is to travel across the US (and world) on a tasty treat tour. I believe sharing my handmade pieces will help me achieve that. Oh and I also want to meet Ellen Degeneres, if anyone can help me with that please send me a message.

Thanks for stopping by!
Melissa
