It's really, really cute and smaller than expected. The book is easy to recognize even if the print on the cover is a bit blurry (like in the photos). And I like that the cork is painted golden.

It is a bit smaller than expected but the image is clear & it is well made. Thanks, my mom will get a kick out of it. :)

Hi, thank you for visiting my Etsy shop! Everything I sell is designed and handmade by me, and often includes reclaimed materials and objects. Each one of my items is made lovingly, with the spirit of it's unique subject matter in mind.
I was raised among books, stories, writers, musicians and artists. The ideologies my parents shared in the 1960s made a large impression on me, partly because of where they chose to live. Growing up in small town Northern New Mexico and Saint Mary, Jamaica, I came to value history and culture. Since childhood, I have been influenced by symbolism from daily life, history, music, proverbs, religion and folk art.
I am fascinated by the presence, portrayal and celebration of heroes throughout history, in experiences both intimate and collective. The spirit, words and work of my subjects lives in my daily thoughts. These visual narratives are made in celebration of memory, legacy and social awareness. They are a tribute to everyone's heroes, whether famed, fabled, friend or family.
Cameras seem to seduce me: the mechanical eye captures the smallest snatch of time ever-faithfully, and it subsequently has the power to move an emotional tide. I incorporate collage materials such as digital inkjet prints, acrylic paint, paper, clay, found objects, board and lights. These are layered, sculpted, rendered, satisfying my impulse to create new and arresting shadows, textures and scenes. I work with a lot of color– I constantly marvel at how vibrant and lustrous the world around me is; this is translated into each art piece that I make.
