Jewelry So Beautiful - It Needs To Be Worn
I've spent over 30 years witnessing the happy smiles of a newly engaged couple, seeing the sparking eyes of a woman celebrating the birth of a child with a new piece of jewelry, helping a long married couple select a new diamond for that special anniversary and watching young women find the confidence to buy something special for herself. I've had the pleasure of sitting with women and men who share the stories of their jewelry. If you think about it, every piece of jewelry has a story. We receive jewelry as a special gift, as a symbol of commitment and to celebrate life's wonderful moments. I've seen the sparkle in a woman's eyes as she told me about the day her now deceased husband surprised her with a gorgeous new ring Since 1989 I have lovingly recycled, restored and sold period jewelry. Why? Because the craftsmanship, style and uniqueness of period and handmade antique jewelry is superior to the mass produced jewelry sold today. I shiver at the thought of a beautiful piece of jewelry being torn apart for the stones and then melted at a gold refiner. What better way to protect the integrity of beautiful jewelry than to offer it to like minded people who will appreciate and lovingly wear it for decades? To sum it up, that's the reason for itsmyfavoritejewelry.
I find many Etsy shoppers to be passionate about estate and vintage jewelry. It's always nice to find birds of a feather.
My husband, P. Michael, has 40 plus years experience as a bench jeweler and has two gemological designations. He personally inspects each piece of jewelry to ensure it is in excellent condition and identifies the gemstones prior to the jewelry being listed for sale.
I hope you enjoy browsing the jewelry I've hand selected from consignors to feature in this shop. I'm always treasure hunting so please check back, and, if you want, I'll be your personal antique jewelry concierge.

Yang was adopted from the local animal shelter 14 years ago. She loves going for walks, people watching and her favorite food is broccoli. We went to the animal shelter to get one pup but her sister had a meltdown each time we separated them.

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
Your purchase is mailed in a gift box. If you wish to have it gift wrapped please let me know
1. Visit an independent jeweler at least once per year to have your jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected for worn or cracked prongs, faulty clasps or other potential problems.
2. Have a plain band on hand to wear when doing physical labor.
3. Salt water and jewelry do not mix. Ocean water can damage some stones and metals.
4. Remove jewelry before swimming in a chlorinated pool or using cleaning products containing bleach.
5. Pearls are easily damaged by an array of personal products like cosmetics and lotions. They must be stored separate from other jewelry as well.
6. Diamonds chip or break from heavy blows
7. Store every piece of jewelry separate to keep from scratching stones or metals
