Welcome to Quirk Shop! A place from which all items are alike but different; each item is carefully handmade to spread sunshine and happiness; yet each is one-of-a-kind, stitched with love, and distinguished by subtle imperfections that only a genuine, handmade treasure may possess.
In my shop, you’ll find a variety of goods! I don’t have a specialty, but am instead inspired by fabric, friends, and google. More likely than not, the fabric used in my projects was discovered in a clearance bin, at a garage sale, or flea market (don’t worry, it’s all pre-washed!) and turned into something magical! So please check back often for new listings! (It also wouldn’t hurt to like Quirk Shop on Facebook for updates, either!) I’m just a girl with a passion for creating out-of-the-ordinary things for extra-ordinary people. Organza, folk music, felt, my hubby Dane, and Gretel (the bulldog) are a few of my favorite things. I truly enjoy working with recycled and/or unique materials and appreciate inspiration and new ideas from potential buyers/friends such as you, so please feel free to contact me with custom projects. Quirk Shop accepts PayPal or credit cards and gift cards through Etsy's direct checkout! If there is a misunderstanding about the sizing, lack of color choice, or another extraneous circumstance pertaining to an order and I have made attempts to contact the buyer to no avail, a transaction will be cancelled after 10 days. A sale may be cancelled if you contact me with an appropriate reason. All orders are tax free! :)
DOMESTIC--I will ship all order out within 1-2 days for in stock items and as soon as possible for made to order items. If you item is made-to-order, I will send you a conversation giving you a timeline for its creation and hopeful shipment. Upon posting, you'll receive an Etsy Shipping Confirmation email with a tracking number. I ship everything first class/parcel post via the USPS/Etsy shipping with delivery confirmation. Priority shipping, express shipping and insurance are all available upon request and with proper compensation. Once an item is posted and leaves my hands, I cannot be held responsible for lost items--this includes packages that are mailed to an incorrect address. I ship to your confirmed Etsy address. If your address is incorrectly listed, we'll hope your parcel gets returned to me. However, if it doesn't no refunds are available, sorry in advance. If the delivery confirmation number confirms your item has arrived but you have not received the package, I will promptly file a claim with the Post Office. They will look into the situation and do their best to track down your order. If the claim comes back and the delivery problem appears to be on the buyer's side of delivery, I cannot be held responsible and refunds will not be given. I apologize for any inconvenience and will certainly work on any funky circumstances with you! I really want you to receive your purchases with no problems and promise to help in any way I can! Lastly, the USPS no longer guarantees delivery times therefore, I can no longer be responsible for delays or how many days it takes for your item to arrive with upgraded shipping. Again, so sorry and I'm sure we'll work individual circumstances out on a case by case basic! : )
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS--I love international shoppers so pleas inquire about international shipping if your home is not listed! Due to a change in United States Post Office policy, international shipping has gotten a bit tricky! Prices have drastically increased. I apologize and try to keep shipping as reasonable as possible. Also, I ship to your ETSY address! So please verify it is correct!
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to love your purchase! If you have a problem, please contact me and I will gladly work with you.
Please note--In the event a return option is available and discussed, I would appreciate prompt mailing of the item back to me. In the event more than two weeks passes prior to the date we agreed upon a return/refund, the return/refund will be void. On many cases, I will issue a full refund. This DOES NOT include shipping and will likely include a re-stocking fee that varies upon the price of your purchase. Thanks for understanding!
Additional Policies and FAQs
All purchases that are made to order many vary slightly from the photos posted. I do my absolute best to replicate items but when there is a pattern, such a plaid, involved matching the stripes exactly to the photo can get tricky. I appreciate your understanding on this detail!
Should I upgrade an existing, in stock item to a custom order for you (example, if it is the last item of its kind in stock), you will have 24 hours to purchase the listing. I appreciate your understanding on this one, but last chance items usually have a lot of possible buyers and I want to give everyone an opportunity to purchase!
If we are collaborating on a custom order where custom colors are chosen, I will not ship your order until I have sent photos of the practially finished product and heard back that it is everything you wanted! I want you to love your order sadly sometimes things don't turn out exactly how we think...I'm a doulbe check-er! Again, I appreciate your understanding and patience!
I cannot be held responsible for a delay in the shipment of a custom order. I want each custom order to be the best it can be and if a snag arises (such as unavailability of fabric, change in design, complication in execution, etc) I will not ship simply because a date was set. Quality is more important to me! I will do my best to work everything out and still get your order shipped by the agreed date but I do appreciate understanding and patience should such a snag occur.
