A Passion for Doll Fashion

My name is Susan and I have a real passion for high quality American Girl doll clothes. My husband, Robert, and granddaughter, Skylar, work with me to make our shop successful. We are mostly known for beautiful historical American Girl doll clothes and as the American Girl Party People.

I started sewing at my grandmother's knee, when I was nine. A couple of years later, I joined 4-H for eight years. My main focus was always sewing. When I was in college, my mother gave me her vintage black Singer sewing machine. Years later, I rescued a 1948 Singer Featherweight from a truck of junk. Today, I use this same machine to make American Girl doll clothes, whether it be a Scarlett O'Hara dress, party favors for a doll party or 18" doll-sized sleeping bags for a birthday slumber party. Assisting moms with their doll parties is a great joy for us. Perhaps this is an extension from my wedding/party decorating business in the 1980s. We love being a part of making dream parties come true. Our parties include themed parties, too. . .American Girl crafts, 18" doll pizza parties, doll fairy parties complete with wings hand airbrushed by Robert, American Girl pioneer parties, 18" doll colonial parties, and doll tea parties. Don't see the party you are interested in? CONVO US!!! We love developing new ideas with moms.

Beautiful American Girl doll clothes is our business. We are eager to create lovely doll clothes and exciting doll parties especially for you. Convo us so we can make your dreams come true!

"Making little girls smile. This is why I sew."

Our doll clothes fit most 18" dolls and Bitty Baby. We are not affiliated with any doll company.

I am a California Girl. I've lived most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, I live about 2 hours north of San Francisco. I have been sewing for 53 years. I find sewing very relaxing and satisfying. I love sewing and I love life.

  • Robert

    Business Manager

Robert is originally from Olathe, Kansas. He worked for IBM for many years and now homeschools our granddaughter. He jumped on board, whole-heartily when my little shop became busier than I ever anticipated.

  • Skylar

    Asistant

Skylar is our granddaughter. She helps in our business where ever she is needed, dressing dolls for photo shoots, grabbing the needed thread or making tutus. She also likes to design clothes. We will selling some of her designs soon.

Additional policies and FAQs
We get our inspiration from a variety of sources. Sometimes it is a beautiful piece of fabric. Sometimes it is a color combination in nature. We watch the runways to see what catches our eyes. Sometimes it's the memories conjured up by a favorite movie or fairy tale. Other times, we turn to the pattern companies like Simplicity, Liberty Jane and Vogue. Sometimes it's a prompt from our customers. We never suffer from a lack of ideas. It is more the case we lack the time to put together all the ideas we have swirling in our heads.
