We are striving to become a zero waste store using all left over pieces of fabric and felt from our custom orders to make items to sell at discounted pricing. We use even the smallest pieces to make finger puppets, pencil toppers, etc.

About

Welcome to my story

I have had a store on Etsy since 2008- it is a dream come true. What started as a hobby, something that I thought would take a few hours a week has turned into a great store with wonderful customers and a full time job. I have been able to keep it going thru my year long struggle with breast cancer( doing great and cancer free), a broken hand, separation from my husband of 27 years, and a major move from Seattle, WA back home to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I started this store "It's the Small Things" because I truly believe it is the small things in life that make you the happiest.

I have received emails from customers that have brought tears to my eyes and made me feel blessed. They have let me know how excited the small ones in their life are with the items from the store and come back even years later to purchase. I cannot think of any work in the world that would be more fulfilling than to bring a smile to a child's face.

I am working to make our store a zero waste store. I use even the smallest piece of our Eco friendly felt to make finger puppets and other small items, I use leftover pieces of fabric to make small crayon rolls to sell at a lower price.

I couldn't do without the internet, facebook, or Pinterst. I wouldn't have a business on Etsy without technology and I love the idea of old meeting new, keeping the past alive, and reusing and remaking anything I can.

Our items are made of felt and fabric and are made to last forever, no batteries needed. I use 2014 technology to make wonderful fun learning items that will last for generations.
