Announcement   Hand dyed merino and silk roving, matching silk embroidery threads, silk ribbon and fabrics for all your felting and embroidery needs is based in Melbourne Australia. I supply hard to find and unusual threads, fabrics and rovings dyed with Australian KraftKolour dyes of the highest quality and in beautiful Colour combinations

I only dye 18.5 micron Australian Merino tops for felters and spinners which I recommend for wearable pieces. A low count micron is more suited to items worn next to the skin since it doesn't 'prickle'. The silk merino blend consists of a micron count of 15- superfine so it felts like wool, but feels like silk. All my fibres are hand dyed to the highest quality and are ready to felt, spin or needle felt without the need for carding. I add new colours often, whenever inspired by something I see.

Please check out my Facebook page Spiraldyed
And follow on Instagram.

All items are marked in US dollars and are checked regularly against the Australian dollar.
Items are mailed from Australia and usually arrive 6 to 8 days after mailing.
Lost orders will be replaced or refunded.

Beautiful silk ribbon - the colours are very inspiring. Looking forward to using it in my fibre crafts. Five stars! Thank-you.

About

I started dyeing fibres and threads for myself years ago, but started selling after many requests from fellow artists for my products.

I fell into dyeing by accident. I was living in the U.K about 20 years ago with my husband and two daughters. I had always been interested in art and craft, but hadn't really found 'my thing'. I accompanied a friend to Missendon Abbey for a City & Guilds open day. I wandered about rooms, enjoying all of the displays until I came across the room showcasing work of the latest group of creative textile participants and I was hooked. Before leaving the Abbey, I had signed up for the two year diploma course, a serendipitous occasion has lead to a life long passion and career creating colour for fellow artists and craftsman.
