About JackNMack

On Etsy since 2012

Jack N Mack is a culmination of a love for all things vintage, a desire to express my creative spirit, and a fascination with machine embroidery.

My name is Lindsay or LJ and I am born, raised and recently returned to Birmingham, AL. I come from a big family with big mouths and big love. Being raised in the south, I've always had a love for a monogram. I bought my first sewing and embroidery machine 7 years ago and was scared to death to even open the box.

Once I had my baby girl on the way, I decided to give it a whirl and haven't looked back since. Over the next few years if I wasn't embroidering and sewing, I was READING ABOUT sewing and embroidering and spending endless hours searching for the perfect design.

After a few years of embroidering I found that I was always merging, deleting, editing and working to make other digitizers designs meet my "vision". So then i realized it was time to make the jump.

I never could have imagined finding something I loved more than machine embroidery, but I had. Digitizing embroidery designs is music to my soul. I love the creative process and thrive on the moment when I look at the screen and see what I've been working to find. As I finished designs, I shared a few with friends and got butterflies in my stomach when I saw them post their work with my designs. That's around the time I decided I would start listing them for sale.

Since then it has been nothing but fun. I truly love everything about selling my designs and digitizing custom designs for my customers. There's no greater compliment to me than to see you all posting pictures of your work and sending the sweet reviews. I read every one and many times over.

I have a wide, and probably random at times, taste in the things I like to create. Obviously I do have a great love for the vintage inspired look and I take a lot of cues from hand embroidery. I often refer to my children's designs as "unhand embroidery". I love to combine textures to create something truly unique and special for my customers to use.

On any given day you could scroll my phone's photo stream and see a comically diverse amount of places where I find inspiration. I often embarrass my family taking pictures of trucks, table settings, vintage clothing, coloring books, advertisements, paintings, linens and anything and everything between.

I hope that you enjoy my shop and find something that makes you smile. I appreciate each and every one of my customers and truly appreciate each purchase you all make as I find my way down this little path following my dream!

I am a one woman show and full time work from home mom to two fantastic kids. JNM has my whole heart but answers second to being the best mother and partner I can be to my family. I answer messages and address issues as quickly as I can. Each of my designs is uniquely and hand created with my customers in mind. I have been an embroiderer and know the demands of the customer base, but ask for the understanding that I don’t sit by the phone or computer, just like you, and ask for the time to respond to your requests. Thank you for your support!

Frequently asked questions
Can I use your digital files to make items to sell through my business?

Absolutely. At this time there is no requirement for special licensing purchases to use our designs in your business. I always appreciate creative credit given and am happy to advertise you and your shop on our Facebook and Instagram.

Can I use your watermarked pictures to advertise?

Sure! Feel free to post the photos featured in our listings. However, you must use the complete photo including my watermark as well as any text giving credit to the person or business responsible for stitching it out.

Can I request a custom design?

Yes! I have several listings for various custom digitizations. If you have any questions on which one you should purchase, feel free to contact me.

Can I share or sell the designs I purchase?

No. Any designs purchased either as a regular design listing or as custom digitizations (in both partial or complete design) absolutely cannot be given, shared or sold to anyone else for any reason. You may not take any aspect of my designs and add them to your own digitizations to sell. I do offer special packages for those of you who may be interested in purchasing digitizing services for the purpose of reselling them yourself. If you are interested in those services, please contact me for more information. Any violation of these policies will result in legal action.

What is the font used in the photo?

Most of my listing photos are by customers credited on listing photos. In an effort to encourage creative use of my designs, I allow stitchers to add monograms or text as they see fit. As a result, you get the fabulous examples you see in my listings, but also, I am unable to keep up with who uses what font from where. If the font used is a JNM font the photo will say “font sold separately” and you can find it in the Fonts and Letters section of the shop. If the font is sold by another digitizer, it will say “font not included”. As a one woman show it is not time conducive for me to keep up with these and I will not be able to share most of these fonts. I encourage you to utilize the large, unaffiliated Facebook groups to seek and find.
