Like any piece of jewelry, Jac & Elsie items are not to be worn in the shower or swimming pool, while exercising or sleeping. Jac & Elsie is not responsible for any items that break in one of these instances.

Many of Jac & Elsie items use upcycled or vintage pieces, so it can be difficult to tell the integrity of the piece. If your piece breaks within two weeks -- and it is not something you've done to it -- let me know. Depending what has happened, options include, but are not limited to, a refund/cancelled transaction and a store credit in the amount of the broken piece.

If by chance you wish to return your item once you receive it for any reason, you have one month from the date the order was placed to do so. You will receive store credit for the price of the item. If the item is damaged when I receive it, that damage will be taken into account for the exchange credit.

Most importantly: I strive for happy customers. If your piece is damaged or different than expected, please let me know prior to leaving feedback. I will do what I can to make sure you're thrilled with your Jac & Elsie order.

Payment is due upon purchase. Jac & Elsie does not ship prior to payment received.

If the PayPal payment does not go through or check is not mailed within 48 hours of purchase date, I will cancel the order. If you have special circumstances, just let me know, and I will be happy to accommodate the best I can.

Most promotional deals do not include fundraiser pieces, unless otherwise specified.

Regular turnaround time for shipping is three to five business days, though some made-to-order pieces require a longer timeline. From there, regular first class mail averages two to five days within the continental U.S. If there is an expected shipping delay, it will be noted in the shop announcement at the top of the home page AND in the message to buyers you receive from Jac & Elsie upon purchase.

If you purchase the upgrade to Priority Shipping, the USPS gives a 1- to 3-day turnaround, depending on where you are located in the United States.

The best way you can help with quick shipping is prompt payment. Using a credit card through PayPal or Etsy direct payment is your quickest option, as I will ship your item upon receiving payment. U.S. eChecks via PayPal take three to five business days to process. Overseas eChecks can take up to two weeks to process.

If your item is damaged in shipping, I will replace the item if I am able. If your purchase was a one-of-a-kind, I will issue a store credit in the amount of the damaged item.

If your item is lost in the mail, or if you don't receive your item but the tracking number shows it was delivered to the correct address, it will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis--including, but not limited to, discounted replacement items or store credit.

A NOTE ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS AND CUSTOMS POLICIES:
When a package is shipped internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict these fees, so they are not--and cannot be--covered by shipping costs. Therefore, buyers pay the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. Import charges can vary widely but are most commonly based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country.

If you see something you like but would rather it be a different length or color, please convo me. I'll do everything I can to make you a happy customer.

Some of my pieces are custom and require additional information from you regarding size, length, color, etc. If you do not include any needed preferences, I will contact you via e-mail and Etsy convo. You will have 24 hours to respond before I choose the length/color/etc. for you.
