Welcome to my shop of quilted items and original quilted artwork. My quilts are made from only top quality fabrics that will last a lifetime; in addition, my artwork may also use fabric I have created myself by dyeing, stamping, painting, silk screening, printing-or whatever else strikes me; to create a quality piece of art that is unique and meaningful.
I also offer inexpensive patterns that teach specific skills so you can start down your own journey and create your own quilts. Each pattern showcases a technique that you will be able to use for many of the other patterns that are out there.
I strive to make them easy to understand with many illustrations and lots of diagrams but also, I am just an email away if you EVER have problems understanding any part of the pattern or process.
Urban Artifaks [www.urbanartifaks.etsy.com] is the name of my other shop where you will find my upcycled/recycled art-to-wear clothes, as well as jewelry made from recycled liquor bottles...intrigued? Go check it out!

5 out of 5 starsI got this patter to use for material I got for Christmas. I haven't made the quilt yet so can't really comment about how easy it is to follow but it doesn't look hard. I gave it 5 stars but will update if it does not live up to expectations.

5 out of 5 starsI am really pleased. The directions for this pattern are very easy to understand. To find the fabric was not to easy, most of what I liked came in Fat Quarters. Easy to enlarge This is a good quilt to make out of your scrap stash .I am really enjoying making this quilt.

Shop policies
All items are hand made by me, using either commercial fabrics or fabric that I've dyed, painted or printed (or all of the above) myself.
***************************************************************
My work is rough and edgy, which means that my edges are raw and will have frayed threads--that's part of the design. HOWEVER, those seams and joins that are functional and not just decorative are double-stitched, serged, or otherwise nicely finished and durable.
***************************************************************
Check back for new Day of the Dead skeletons...these are very collectible and I'll do a series of them before moving on to another style. I'll soon be offering notecards and prints of all my pieces as well as the original wall hangings.
***************************************************************
I work in series, so if you check back here every so often you will see a totally different look.
My work is finished in one of 2 different ways--either it has an invisible sleeve on the back to slide a rod into to hang it by, or its stretched on canvas-covered stretcher bars.

I do take on commission work. I take your photos or favorite places and interpret them in fabric collage. One of the ways is by creating a window looking out on your favorite part of the world; another way is just to create that special spot with fiber collage. Convo me for more information.
