Every since I was very young I've had a passion for creating things. My mom was always very encouraging, and inspiring because she, herself is a very artistic woman with a thousand talents.

I spent time in the desert of New Mexico while I was growing up, and there I was introduced to the southwestern art and architecture. I was taught to make jewelry on a beading loom, worry dolls from toothpicks and embroidery floss and dream catchers, among other things. I learned how to read tarot cards, and became entirely enthralled with the metaphysical world. I started learning about the properties of the stones and crystals that I had always been drawn to. Those things have all shaped the type of artist I have become, and the southwestern designs of my childhood still shows in my work.

My name is Jade Chaput, and I now reside in North Central Kansas...I'm what you might call a "jade of all trades". I have many talents, and it seems that the products of my talents need to find homes.
I began wire weaving a few years ago. I find it to be some of the most soothing work I've ever done, able to just lose myself in the counting and wrapping and forming of the patterns. It's become a passion, and I've neglected sharing much of the finished product with people.
As the 8 of swords has shown, i cannot hold myself back any longer. I've stood in my own way and all its done is delay my purpose. My purpose is to share my creations with others...with you.
