About

A little about Jadeflower Ceramics

Jadeflower began with very humble aspirations. It started simply as a place where I could share my art and other creations online to a wider audience. It was an ideal space to which I could direct friends and family and "display" my current work. Working with clay had evolved from an intensive part of my life during college to a hobby I only had time for on the side. Having an active Etsy shop kept me from drifting too much from what I loved to do.

Due to a few big changes in my life during 2009 and 2010, and encouraging growth in my shop, I decided to take the plunge and make Jadeflower Ceramics my full-time employment. In December 2013, my son Ethan was born, and it's been an adventure since then, balancing my ceramic work and caring for him full-time.
Today you'll find me, seven days a week, out in my studio or in front of my laptop - working on my next piece or managing my virtual storefront, in addition to spending all Ethan's waking hours in constant activity! The hours are long and intense, but the joy and independence I've gained is most definitely worth it!

I have loved connecting with people from all over the world, through the power of the internet! Custom orders are always welcome - if you have something in mind that you would like created, I do hope you'll contact me, and we'll chat.

Welcome to Jadeflower Handmade Ceramics!
All of my ceramic work is entirely handmade and fired in my kiln to cone 6, for a durable stoneware or porcelain product. Because of the nature of handmade ceramics, no two items will be exactly alike, and slight variation in color and texture should be expected.
