I'm all about ink stained fingers.

I'm Jai, printmaker and bird keeper living in the rainy South West of England with my partner and wild toddler.
I have always drawn and collected obsessively in sketchbooks. A few years ago I was given a basic printmaking kit for my birthday. I sat on my bed, carved a wonky mountain and discovered the joy and excitement of the unpredictable results of printmaking. I find magic in how the image changes through the various stages; drawing, transferring, carving and printing, meaning the end result has often grown and developed far from my sketchbook plans.

Most of my work is inspired no further away that the chicken coop at the end of the garden.
