About

Slowly Getting There

I've always been very crafty, and a lot of my friends have always been supportive. They would always tell me that i should sell my creations, and i would always just kinda shrug my shoulders and say "eh...idk."

and then, about a year ago i started noticing that people were admiring some of the things i'd made, and asking where i had gotten it and such.

it wasn't until some online buddies told me about this place, that i actually decided to give it a try. So i made my etsy (jakrafts), but i didn't really pay attention to it--i highly doubted that people would want to buy my things...and i made a bad first impression on my first customer--i didn't even realize someone had placed an order until a couple weeks after the fact!

They had reported the case, which i'm glad they did, and i apologized dearly to them--but luckily for me, the customer was understanding, and the order was completed. They ended up giving me 100% positive feedback, which i completely wasn't expecting to happen after all that mess.

That little incident was kind of a wake up call, and now i pay close attention to my shop. It's kind of hard to believe that i have sold things to people overseas, and that a piece that i've created is now on the other side of the world!

Jakrafts is still growing, and it really wouldn't be possible without your guys' support and motivation. So, thank you dearly. I hope that Jakrafts stays on your favorites, and keeps you interested enough to take a look every once in a while.

One of my life-long dreams is to leave a handprint in the world, and to inspire someone for the better. And etsy has helped me get started on that--i mean, my creations have gone to europe, australia, and mexico! i still can't believe it!--and as cheesy as it sounds, it's true. Having a Jakrafts item even just in a different state, is more than i had thought etsy would do for me...i'm slowly beginning to leave a mark in this world--and Jakrafts is just the beginning.
