jakriksciun's Shop Announcement

I began my artistic endeavors as a fine artist having worked in a myriad of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpting, collaging, carving, photographing, writing, and finally glass. . .all leading to what you see here, making things that are not only functional, but functional works of art, made to beautify the home and the person in that home, inside and out.

I've always been drawn to vibrant colors, design and aesthetics. In my work, and particularly my glass work, I combine these traits in a cohesion of multiple purposes. I tend to keep my products small, in that they lend themselves very well to gift giving.

I'm also a big proponent of reuse. Anywhere I can use reclaimed/recycled material in my work, I do, from fabric remnants to glass scraps, to old magazine images, just about every item in my shop has had some sort of past life, ready to be put to new use in a beautiful, functional way.

I and my work are ever evolving. I'm forever ready to turn that next corner and see what's coming up. It always promises to be something new and different with people and their planet in mind.

Keeping in the vein of repurpose and reuse, and in addition to my handmade work, I also offer a variety of vintage pieces. From kitchenware, to books, to toys, to jewelry, and various oddities unique and hard to find, you'll find it here.

Take a browse around. You're guaranteed to find something unique. Peace.
