Hello fellow beader, I love beads and beading. I create one of a kind jewellery and bead embroidery and sell my designs in art galleries and here on Etsy. This shop deals with the surplus beading supplies I have on hand after completing my unique designs. I hunt the world over for supplies so this shop is a rather eclectic blend of finds. If you find something you like, grab it while it's listed. I have limited supplies of each item and have kept the price down as I do not load up my bead prices with hidden shipping costs.
I am writing beading patterns as well these days so keep an eye open for new patterns. The beading tutorials take days to design, make up, rip apart and make up, photograph, edit and write up but I think the end result is worth the effort, judging by comments I have received from ladies who have bought my tutorials.
I also design and create one of a kind beading components with a lovely rivoli centre. These components are popular locally and are great to incorporate into other jewellery projects.

About

A LIFE LONG FASCINATION WITH COLOUR

I started my second Etsy shop in order to deal with my burgeoning bead collection that is left over from my jewellery design business. Most of my finished works sell in art galleries but I do sell here on Etsy too (www.janebaridesign.etsy.com). I also sell through my private website (www.janebaridesign.com). Most days I get up early and visit my beading room which has floor to ceiling racks that are full of boxes of beads and other assorted beading addictions. I do some form of beading every day but really folks, there is only so much room in my new beading room at our recently purchased doer upper. I am using this second Etsy shop as a destash facility and also as a way of passing on to you some lovely beads and jewelry findings I come across in this life that are superfluous to my design work. I hunt the world over for my unusual supplies for my designs and will spend part of every day on the internet, either sourcing or writing to lovely Etsy people I have met. Part of the "monkey on my back" is that with design work to put into the art gallery and on my private website, I have to regularly create new and different designs. I personally do not care what other beaders are making and I do not follow trends at all. I just create; that's all.

Please visit my shop often as I am in the process of adding more beading supplies every few weeks. Please also visit Jane Bari Design my first Etsy shop for finished jewelry pieces. Each one is unique. I also create special pieces for private commissions, largely to Canada and America. I also have a third Etsy shop where I have presented indie dyed wool products. I have been a spinner and weaver for many years so it is with great delight I opened up this third shop - Sheep Shed Yarns on Etsy.

When I am not beading, I am creating paintings for sale in either pastel or acrylics and mixed media. I am a member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists and my favourite subjects are tormented seascapes and poppies. I also enter art exhibitions with my pastel paintings and some of my bead work too. I spend time in my beading room seven days a week as my passion with colour, form and texture is my life in its entirety. I am currently writing beading tutorials so the working hours are very long.

Please visit my blog to find out about Priscilla and her sudden blindness and what we have done for her quality of life. I also like to write about life matters and living in the country (www.janebaridesign.wordpress.com).

Thank you for visiting this segment of my Etsy shop. Please Convo me if you wish to know any more about my creations!

Have a wonderful day, wherever you may live and I hope your day is complete with handling beads. jane :)

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER POLICIES:
Under Australian consumer law, I am not obliged to accept a return if the purchaser has merely "changed their mind". Please select carefully, bearing in mind that each computer monitor presents colours differently. I try to give a detailed product description with every item I sell so that purchasers know what they are purchasing.

Items that are over the value of $100 Australian dollars must be shipped with added insurance in order to cover both the purchaser and the seller for damages incurred during transit.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me and I will try to work with you regarding this. Purchasers must contact me within seven days upon receipt of the item to let me know why they wish to return the item. Please understand that under Australian law, I cannot accept a return on an item if you simply change your mind about the purchase or you decide you do not like the colours, etc. Under Australian consumer law, a product must fulfill the "fit for intended purpose" principle.

However, all this being said, if you are not happy with your purchase, please contact me and I will try to work with you to achieve a happy outcome. I value all my clients and appreciate your business too. My personal and business reputation is important.
Payment
I have both Direct Check Out and Paypal available in all my Etsy shops. I refund excess postage wherever possible. Please note that payment fees are deducted prior to calculation of postage refund.
Shipping
WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER:
I will always write to you and thank you for placing an order in my shop. I also explain the picking and packaging and postal process. I try to post out the next business day from your order too as I know from personal experience what it is like, waiting for a much anticipated parcel to arrive from overseas. One Etsy shop I purchased from took an entire month to post my order. Such long waiting times for order processing do not occur in my shop.

SHIPPING TIMES:
Generally, postage occurs once a day with my husband taking a trip down to the post office. I try to have a same day turnaround for all orders. Friday night orders are posted off on the following Monday. Minor postal delays may occur due to public holidays as our post office will be closed at such times. If any unforeseen postal delays occur, I will write you to let you know what is happening.

AFTER YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN POSTED:
I will always write to you and send you a shipping notification too so you are aware that your parcel is now in the postal system and on its way to you.

AFTER I REFUND YOU EXCESS SHIPPING COSTS:
I will always write to you and let you know the amount I am refunding for excess shipping refunds. In other words, I communicate with all my valued buyers and am here to answer any questions you might have as well.

SHIPPING:
Australian postal costs are just about the dearest in the world. I do not care who I offend with this statement but we have a monopoly system that charges like wounded bulls here in Australia and prices are sneaking up all the time. A parcel being posted to far north Queensland can now cost up to $20. Terrible.

Even so, I am now offering free standard shipping to all Australian orders only for supplies above the value of $120.

This shop does not offer cheap shipping by loading up the cost of items for sale. I generally have a "ball park" figure on shipping to cover heavier parcels sent overseas as I have lost a lost of income in the past by not doing this. If the post office charges a cheaper price than what the shipping costs in the shopping cart add up to, I always refund the difference.

Please rest assured I refund on most of my orders around the world and here in Australia too.

COMBINED SHIPPING:
I also offer combined shipping so if you put in two separate orders, I will combine them into one postal cost and refund you the difference.

I generally charge insurance on any high cost items that I have created and sell in my other Etsy shop - Jane Bari Design. Bead embroidery pieces over $100 are always insured. Insurance on bead embroidery will cost an extra $9.60 on top of the shipping costs.

CUSTOMS FEES:
Customers are responsible for their own particular country's customs fees. Please do not ask me to write "gift" on the parcel as I cannot break the law here in Australia with misleading package contents.

EU CUSTOMERS:
EU customers are responsible for their own VAT (value added tax) fees imposed on purchases overseas.

MONITOR VARIATIONS:
Please note that individual computer monitors vary a lot. I have tried to photograph the items in this shop as close to natural light as possible in order to be able to convey the colour.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please contact me for larger quantities of beading supplies I have listed in this shop.

I can customise your order to suit postage rates. For example, if you wish to keep below a certain weight, I can customise your order to achieve this. Remember, I REFUND excess postal rates as I have no control over outrageous postal rates charged by our carrier.
Privacy
In keeping with new EU privacy laws, this business will not divulge any client contact details to a third party. Details are only kept to comply with Australian Taxation law and the annual income tax statement requirements. All client details are kept in a locked filing cabinet.

Frequently asked questions
SHIPPING COSTS and SHIPPING TIMES

Our postal costs have just gone up again and are the dearest in the world. Free shipping is a complete marketing myth and I cannot afford to provide free shipping, even though I am pressured to do so. Please take this link for information on the shipping process and excess shipping refunds used in this shop:
https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/247388006/exact-shipping-service-free-service?ref=shop_home_feat_1
Please rest assured that we refund excess shipping wherever possible. Our legion of regular clients will attest to this.
Shipping usually occurs within one BUSINESS DAY. If you purchase during our weekend, then we have to delay a visit to our town's post office as our post office will be closed for the weekend.
Thank you :)

EUROPEAN UNION AND THE VAT

Our prices do not include VAT. VAT is up to the individual customer to pay. Individual customers are responsible for any charges that are levied by their financial authorities.

WHAT I SELL IN THIS SHOP

My "daytime" job is a self employed designer of wearable one of a kind bead embroidery and jewellery pieces. My designs are currently in three art galleries here in lovely Australia. I sell off surplus supplies to my needs in my design work in this shop here. The supplies are brand new, unless the product description specifically states "vintage supply".
