Prints Please!
Making is something I have always done, I was the arts and crafty kid in school! I have always enjoyed making, drawing, creating. With background in Printed Textiles, screen printing was so exciting for me. To see your hand drawn image converted into screen, which could then be replicated, I was hooked.
Straight after college I joined a local designer market and have been making and designing since.I love the process of screen printing but also I wanted to have a finished product. I ventured into the world of surface pattern design after college and began sewing at night school, screen printing products and working on freelance designs during the day, and I haven't looked back.
I went on to take a concession with Topshop in Dublin for 3 years selling handmade clothing and prints. But I quickly realised the world of fast fashion was not for me.
From there I started up my etsy shop and delved into the world of wholesale. I have also taught workshops in sewing, printing and hand painted silk. And I currently design prints for surface pattern on a freelance basis, along with producing my hand printed product range. Using sustainable and ethical fabrics and supplies are important to me. I use organic and fair trade materials and supplies wherever possible and always try to consider the environment with the choices I make.
