About

Light. Color. Swirls.

I have been working with beads as an art form since 1987. My interests span many areas of beading: stringing, beadweaving, and looming. I enjoy making jewelry as well as other non-jewelry items, such as beaded vases and tapestries.

I have always loved glass in any form; stained glass, beads, vases, etc., so the move into lampworking (using a torch to melt and shape glass) was a natural one for me.

I started lampworking in April of 2003. I purchased a propane-oxygen torch, safety glasses, and a few tools. Then I spent approximately a month reading all that I could about ventilation, eye protection, and the safety aspects of lampworking.

My husband constructed my studio, which features a full fume hood, fire extinguisher, concrete backer board table and wall protection, and a flashback arrestor on my propane tank. I purchased my first concentrator shortly after I started lampworking, and I now have 4. It is so nice to always have plenty of oxygen. :)

All of the beads on this site (unless otherwise noted) are made by me using glass rods and a propane-oxygen torch. The glass becomes molten, I shape it, then the finished bead goes in the kiln to slowly cool over 8 hours. This is called annealing and helps reduce internal stress and strengthen the finished bead.

I love the ever-changing colors and shapes that appear when lampworking. My biggest inspirations are color, nature and animals. If you have any questions about the glass bead making process, please feel free to convo me.

Refunds and Exchanges
I love making beads and jewelry and I hope you love them too! Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Please let me know if there are any problems with your order within five (5) days of receipt.

I will work with you to resolve the situation by offering a full refund or item exchange, minus shipping costs, once the items are returned to me. The item must be returned in original condition for a full refund or exchange. Please convo me to arrange a return or exchange prior to shipment.

I appreciate and thank you for your business. I work hard to create high-quality beads and I select the beads to sell very carefully. I take care to use the best lighting/color matching and offer at least two views of every item. I use a wood ruler and an "in hand" shot to offer a basis for color -- if the ruler or my hand are too red/green/blue than they should be, then monitor differences are the reason.

Please view all photos and read descriptions prior to purchasing to ensure that the bead is the one you want. If you have any questions, please email me prior to purchasing.
Additional policies and FAQs
I offer a full 100% satisfaction guarantee of my work. Refunds will be granted if the product is not as described in the description and photos, less all shipping costs. Please contact me prior to purchase if you have any questions about my beads or products. Thank you!
