I have been dabbling at making chocolate for a couple of years, but I really got into it seriously in 2012 when I started experimenting with different types of chocolate candy and found that I actually liked making candy. I would take samples to work to get my coworkers opinion and they liked my candy and wanted to purchase my candy. December 2013 I started selling the chocolates at the law firm where I worked and found that the candy outsold my cookie orders! I first started with the milk chocolate turtles using a recipe that I got from a candy vendor in Ocean City, Md; I went on to chocolate truffles and caramels. Now I am doing a variety of chocolates, cakes and cookies and I love making them. (Fortunately, I am not a chocoholic so I don't eat up my profits, lol!!). The TURTLES are my best sellers -- made with milk or dark chocolate, creamy salted caramel (sea salt) and roasted pecans; Cream filled TRUFFLES are absolutely delicious with flavors like key lime, orange cream, peanut butter ganache, chocolate caramel, strawberry cream, etc. I will also have some of these same cream filled chocolates in assorted liquor flavors like rum, tequila, brandy and bourbon. My COCONUT BARS taste way better than Mounds or Almond Joy and I always sell out of my COCONUT RUM BALLS at any festival that I participate in. My milk or dark CHOCOLATE CANDY BARS are better than the store brand and I will have assorted flavors; my CASHEW or PEANUT BRITTLE is smooth, crunchy, salty goodness, bite into a piece and your eyes will roll back into your head, lol!! Oh, and let's not forget the CHOCOLATE BARK of which I will have at least three different varieties. I also do MINI RUM CAKES which I call my DUI CAKE, CARROT CAKE, RED VELVET, LIMONCELLO, and MOONSHINE cakes (I use real liquor). I do other cakes as the mood hits me.
