Announcement   My handmade stoneware pottery is created for everyday use. I work to create graceful lines on my pieces and though I love the earthy quality of stoneware clay, my work is lighter than much of the pottery you often find.

Making one of a kind, handmade, stoneware pottery that is attractive and useful is my thing! Materials are non-toxic and leadfree.

The timeframe for items listed as "Ready to Ship" or "In Stock" is 1-3 business days. However I make every effort to ship as fast as I can, usually in 24 hours. MADE TO ORDER purchases will be shipped by date on the order. If I am able to ship sooner I certainly will. All pieces will be wrapped carefully and boxed to ensure a safe transport from my home to yours. Shipping prices include postage, materials and handling. If the shipping price is a gross overcharge, I will issue a partial refund. I will not include a receipt or make mention of the price unless requested. A business card is always included.

Lighter packages typically ship US Priority Mail and are therefore delivered in 1-3 business days. Heavier items are generally shipped UPS Ground. I find both to be reliable so I will use whichever service is less costly unless requested otherwise.

About

I like taking a lump of clay from start to finish with nobody but my customers telling me what to do!

I thank my wonderful mom and dad for getting me into this "fine mess." ;)

With my mother's artistic influence, my father's entrepreneurial spirit and my great hubby's support, this was meant to be and I couldn't be a luckier or happier handmade ceramist.

I love to cook and decorate simply in my home and almost everything that is in my shop is also in my home in one form or another. All my years of pottery production have started by throwing on the wheel until a year or two ago. I never, ever, had any interest in handbuilding. Then, (like having children) it hit me one day (can almost give you the date) "I want to try that!"

I try to maintain the same standards with both types of work-- good functionality and not too heavy or clunky. I believe it's safe to say our kids, now young adults, turned out pretty well but the jury is still out on my handbuilt work. It's tricky to balance the time between my wheel throwing and many orders with playing around with new ideas. But this new venture is fun and it is exciting to come up with a new product line.

While I have long been making and selling pots, my Etsy shop really made things exciting. Two of my favorite words are "Etsy Transaction" and my heart starts to thump when I see them in my email inbox. It's exciting to see what has sold and where it is going in this great country of ours. Though I would love to ship more internationally (and I'm certainly willing) the costs can be pretty high. If you see a piece that is small, it is more likely to be a good possibility for international shipping. Please convo me if you'd like a price quote.

If you have any questions or custom ideas, please let me know and I'll see if I can help. Thanks for stopping by my shop. I hope you like what you see!

Hey! yup, that's me. My clay's gray, my hair's gray. Been doing this awhile... I used an old kickwheel 'til this year and I still wedge all my clay, even the recycled stuff, so rather "old school." Takes a little longer but it's peaceful...
