I loved the letters!
How could you know? I'm planning a trip across Route 66. I traveled part of it in 2009 and have always wanted to see all of it that remains. I think the trip will be in 2018. Now I already have my souvenir!
What is better than a love story and a beautiful painting? Love the letter.
One of my favorite pictures so far. I might frame this one!
Love the colors and the intriguing story. Will have to google these people.
I love all the letters I've received. This one may be my favorite because of the story. But the artwork is great on all the letters. Can't wait for the February letter.

One of my favorites (besides the bookstore letters!)
The story behind Paris Letters
I send painted letters to those who crave fun mail. Most letters are about life in Paris but my wanderlust has led to a Travel Letter series as well. I create a piece of art each month, then write a letter on it. I copy the letter, personalize each copy (Dear Jane, Dear Spence, Dear YOU), and send it out snail-mail style to those who like to see a sweet surprise in their mailbox.
My latest book, PARIS LETTERS, is about these letters. It's a travel memoir about how I left the fast lane in corporate life in California for a slower artistic life in Paris. I'm pleased and delighted that it made it onto the New York Times best seller list. Once falling for a charming butcher and deciding to hang my beret in Paris, I had to come up with a way to afford my new life. These letters are the result and have been shared around the globe with lovers of letters and of Paris.
"Charming ... How memorist Janice MacLeod rewrote her life story, one gorgeously illustrated letter at a time" - FLARE Magazine
"How letters from Paris led one Canadian to a new career (and created a fantastic Christmas gift idea for everyone)" ELLE Magazine
"Aspirational fiction? No, a true story to inspire similar dreamers out there." - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
“…her illustrated “Paris Letters” – is a dandy way to earn funds and one I would have never thought of. But it’s genius and a wonderful use of her creative writing and artistic talents.” - DEAR AUTHOR

Finding a fun letter in the mail can make a day brighter. I create painted letters about my travels. I now live as an artist and writer in France and Canada. PARIS LETTERS, the travel memoir, has become an international best seller.
