Announcement    Welcome to Jargenink! All of my original art is created in my home studio and printed professionally. I use a variety of watercolors, fine art pens and black sumi ink to create striking and contrasting patterns on paper. I am drawn to shapes and images found in the natural world such as leaves, feathers, spirals, seeds and ferns. I enjoy the drama black ink and contrasting colors have on white paper and design my drawings to engage the viewer's eye and not let go.

I have prints and cards in a variety of sizes. If you would like a different size print that you don't see listed, please contact me and let me know. I'm happy to have a custom print made for you.

Inquire about custom art! I love working with customers to create something unique.

Towards Art

Black ink has been my medium to interpret the environment around me for years. My work is inspired by both Native American art and the animals that inhabit the northwest. The concept of animal totems is also a great inspiration to my work. As I work, I consider the individual characteristics and myths associated with each animal, hoping to convey some of its unique spirit. Many look wonderful as pairs but also display powerfully on their own. I give each piece a Chinook jargon name to honor its inspiration.

Outside of my studio, I'm often spending time outdoors with my students and on my own. I have a love for exploration and a deep appreciation for nature that seeps into both my professional and personal life.

I love to do custom work. If you have a particular affinity towards an animal or subject, please let me know. I'd love to create something perfect for you. If you like one of my original pieces but would prefer to purchase a print, let me know! I'm always happy to make more prints and cards if there's a special request.

Thank you so much for visiting and looking around, each view is noticed and acknowledged with a smile of gratitude on my end.

Welcome to my shop! All of the drawings you see on my site are original designs. My drawing is inspired by animals of the Pacific Northwest and by the Native tribes along the Pacific Coast. I've always been drawn to their myths and spiritual connections to animals. My watercolor paintings reflects these stories and myths.

If there's an animal that you feel a particular attraction to, such as a totem or spirit animal, and don't see it my shop, please let me know! I love doing custom work for customers. I also love hearing about your unique animal story and connecting with the community, so do reach out.
