Announcement   I welcome you and invite you to visit my Etsy store. I enjoy making beautiful garden art glass flowers and suncatchers from "re-purposed" glass. They are sturdy, weather resistant and gorgeous!
These are resilient and made to last, what a fun use for "found" items. I hope that you enjoy my outdoor art as much as I do!
I also sell an eclectic mix of vintage items for home and garden. My passion is finding a new use for just about everything.

Delightful image on the cover of this antique children's book !
I love the stories that these antique books have to tell ! This one was a big influence on President Ronald Reagan !!
The detail craftsmanship on this small cedar chest is so beautiful. It would make a great gift for man or woman.

About

" When life gives you lemons, then make some sweet lemonade " I think that life is all about making the best of what has been given to you.

My life has always been about using what I have been given to create something beautiful and functional.
The old cliche about " Making lemonade out of lemons " fits my story very well.
I made a choice many years ago to leave a corporate career to be a stay at home mom and caretaker to the family farm.
Living on one income became a challenge but I would not change a thing. It has shaped me in to the inventive person that I am today.
I quickly learned that re-purposing and finding ways to make second hand items into lovely new purposes was my path. You could say that I have been living a recycled lifestyle for most of my adult life.
I feel blessed with a vision to see the potential in ordinary items that no longer seem to have purpose. It is rewarding to create beautiful works of art with them.
My glass art for the garden is my favorite passion because I have always loved colorful glass and collected it.
One day I decided that I wanted to make glass art for my gardens. I had seen this style of outdoor art done with plates and teacups. I figured why not try it with glass? I experimented with many different methods until I found the one that met with my high expectations.
My shop also reflects my love of all things vintage, antique and quirky.
I am always running across interesting items and adding them to my shop inventory.
As you might expect, I spend a lot of time at yard sales, flea markets, estate sales and thrift stores. It is one of my favorite hobbies.
I really enjoy treasure hunting and I hope that you enjoy the treasures that I have to offer.
