I make quilts by hand in the mountains of western North Carolina, on the ancestral lands of the Eastern Cherokee and Yuchi peoples. I live near Asheville, NC, a hub for artists and creatives.

While I use a modern sewing machine, my work is all based on traditional piecing and patchwork quilting techniques. Each quilt is finished/bound by hand; I treasure this final opportunity to spend time with each piece before it heads out into the world.

A major focus of my making is on materials. I use primarily organic cotton (GOTS certified) in a "greige" (less processed) form. Most of the colors in my work are from natural dyes, harvested and foraged from nature by me. The batting I use (i.e., the "inside" of the quilt) is natural cotton; and I am excited to begin using organic cotton thread in February 2021.

I perform each step in the making process slowly and thoughtfully; thus, my output is not huge. As items become available, I will add them to this Etsy shop. If you are looking for something specific, please contact me! I would love the feedback and input.
