Announcement   Beautiful polished stones add much to life! I create polished, and (often) wearable gemstone art as well as polished meditation stones from a range of materials, including rare jaspers, agates, and other minerals from the earth. Sometimes I set stones into sterling silver settings I make while other times I simply solder a ring of silver through a stone that can then be worn around your neck, energizing you as you feel it against your skin all day. I strive to sell items at the best possible prices for you while making it worth my time. I am trying selling on Etsy as an enjoyable adjunct, not as a sole income stream. I want it to be fun.

In addition, I want my listings to be greatly enjoyable for you to read. This is why for some items I am going to include various metaphysical claims that I have researched from a variety of authoritative sources. Such claims may deal with the mineralogical, historical, spiritual , and healing (emotionally, mentally, and physically) reputations of a given stone. I provide such information for enjoyment only and cannot prove any such claims. Persons with serious medical, mental, or spiritual illness should, of course, be in consultation with doctors, psychological therapists, or spiritual healers as the case may be. Well living to each of you, and thanks for viewing my shop. And when you have a minute, please checkout my website, Jasperhoundgems.com ~C.A.

I love this gorgeous pendant- the color, the pattern, the shape, and esp the fact that it doesn't have any silver padding to ruin it. I got so much wear out of it since I bought it a month ago, and got a lot of compliment already.

About

Making and collecting artwork and rocks are rewards for living.

For a full page on my pursuits, please click on the "shop website" link beneath my photo! I began tumbling rocks when I was 12, and I cut my first cabochon when I was 14. Things have grown over the years to the point where I feel I need to share my creations with the world beyond family and friends. There are only so many paintings or necklaces I can give my mother! So about 5 years ago, I began selling gems and minerals retail. Jewelry too. This proved to be a great success. For awhile I sold a lot of stuff on Ebay, but like Etsy better, so I am focusing on Etsy.

As far as my painting, I started formal training in my teens, and in my 20's I studied under Jan Dove, among others. I have a teaching credential in art but have only taught it during a couple of summer school assignments, focusing instead on a career teaching English. I am also engaged in publishing other people's books. You can learn more about all these pursuits if you visit my website--which I hope you do!

I love Etsy, both buying and selling on it. The spirit of the people who use Etsy seems to be a couple notches above the mainstream, don't you think? Luckily, my wife Kate knows a lot about metaphysical pursuits and she has helped me to incorporate those ideas into my listings. Thanks for reading, Craig
