Artisan Jewelry, Beadwork, PMC, and Other Works of Art

javelinagirl is taking a short break.

Hello, all! I have been essentially absent from both my shop and studio a long time. This situation will likely continue for the foreseeable future, as I attend to my mother's needs. At 90 years old and struggling with vascular dementia, she requires my full attention. By the time these circumstances inevitably change, I should to be ready to explode with pent-up artistic inclinations, so expect to see me back in the future!

javelinagirl's Shop Announcement

Hello, and welcome to my shop! I'm Elen Freelander, and I make unique and high-quality things of all sorts, from miniature sculptures in book form to beaded or silver jewelry to cards and prints of my digital art and photography.

I am an artist, jewelry artisan, bead weaver, silversmith, wireworker, seamstress and fiber artist, photographer, digital and collage artist, bookbinder, etc. and I design and craft each piece of art listed in my shop.

I’ve collected beads for decades, thus many elements from my stash and making their way into my jewelry are now considered vintage. I love using lampwork beads, cabochons, and other handcrafted elements produced by my fellow Etsyans and other artists and artisans in my work. I make molds from intriguingly shaped, textured, and usually natural objects for making elements of PMC to use in my jewelry. I'm an inveterate, though landlocked, beachcomber. I do miss the shore, but I've always found the high mountain desert I've inhabited for nearly all of my life to be as generous as any of the coasts I have loved and lived on through the years. I love incorporating these freely gifted things of the earth that appear before my feet wherever I go into my work.

I make each of my pieces with meticulous diligence and TLC. Each one is unique, one-of-a-kind, well designed and well crafted. The only exception to the one-of-a-kind aspect of my work is in the print section of my shop, where I produce open editions of my prints and cards. These are high quality giclée reproductions of my originals; designed and crafted with the same care I give to all of my work.

Shipping Note: I will do whatever I can to minimize your shipping costs on multiple items. If you are buying more than one item, please convo me before you pay and I will post a new consolidated listing with the new shipping charge.
