About

This is my Craft

Hey there, my name is Jay and I'm the one behind the scenes making jewelry like there's no tomorrow!

This is my passion and has been for a number of years. I'm so excited to share my work with you as I continue to grow as an artist and release new designs and collections. As it turns out, I started making jewelry when I was just a little kid. This fun slipped away as other interests came into the picture and for years painting was my medium.

That was until one summer right after I began college I got the "urge". For weeks I felt the NEED to make some jewelry and I finally caved, going to the local craft store to buy your basic beads and string. Fast forward three years and my passion and obsession has grown exponentially. I was fortunate to have the chance to being experimenting in metal work and haven't looked back. I love the process and the final result and hope you do too.

The process of creation is a combination of organized chaos and free fall exploration. I generally begin with a sketch that then gets rendered and prepared in a program before I transfer it to metal. From there everything is by hand at my bench: sawing filing, soldering, and stone setting before the final polish. The stones I use are a huge inspiration. I'm enamored at the thought that these beauties came in to being within this earth. I strive to honor that beauty in my designs.

Many things inspire my designs, from culture and nature, to geometry and architecture. In many ways I think of jewelry as architecture for the body. Jewelry is a statement and medium of expression for both the creator and the wearer. In that sense it represents a partnership between the makers hands (me :) ) and the person who chooses to wear one of my pieces (you :) ). I truly value that connection when someone chooses to have something I've made become a part of themselves and their personal expression.

I’m so glad that you have stopped by my shop! Hopefully you find something in my shop that speaks to your unique style of adornment. Everything I make is created with quality in mind, from the materials to the construction. I am indeed a perfectionist! Please enjoy your time in my shop, and thank you for stopping by and taking a peek at my little corner of the world.
All stones are unique and everything is made by hand, so please expect slight variations in my work. Each piece is as unique as you are.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
My top priority is making sure you are happy with your purchase!

Please contact me upon receiving your package if you have any questions, concerns, or issues before leaving feedback. I will do my best to resolve any issues be it a return, or exchange. If refund is the only option, let me know within 10 days of receiving your package. I ask that you ship the item back to me packaged with care and I will refund the cost of the item minus shipping upon receiving the returned package.

*The jewelry must be returned in original condition in order for the return to be accepted, so please do take care when packaging up the piece you are returning. Its best to place the piece in a jewelry box (like the one it arrived in) and inside a small shipping box or bubble mailer with some stuffing (crumpled magazine or newspaper works!) so it is protected in it's journey back to my studio. I highly recommend you choose a shipping method with tracking and hold on to the tracking number.

What items are non refundable?

All items marked final sale, items on markdown, custom pieces, items purchased during special promotional events, or seasonal sales cannot be returned.

Custom Work
Custom pieces are when we work together with your vision to translate it into metal. If you feel my aesthetic suits your vision feel free to reach out to me with your concept and we can chat about possibilities!

Because custom pieces often entail more time and work on a piece and more detailed communications, a custom project from your own idea or significant alterations to a design I previously made will generally cost more than a piece already offered in my line. I require payment before sketches are made and materials are ordered for production to begin. Custom work is non refundable.
Shipping
Most of my pieces are made to order just for you! My current production time is 1-2 weeks unless otherwise stated in listings. Please keep this in mind when purchasing from my shop. I do my best to get orders together quickly and out my door on the way to you, but as a perfectionist it takes a little time! If you need an item sooner please contact me before purchasing to make sure I can accommodate your needs.

I ship everything First Class Mail via USPS. Upgrades are available at checkout. Unless otherwise noted, I will use the shipping address listed in the Etsy transaction. Upon receiving shipping notification for your order, you can expect your package in 5 days or less if you are in the US.

International orders can take 3-8 weeks to arrive depending on the country.
The buyer is responsible for any applicable import duties or VAT charges, if any.

I do not begin working on your order until payment is processed.

All my jewelry is packaged and ready for gift giving, or just having an awesome opening experience if you made a purchase for yourself.
Additional policies and FAQs
I sometimes take custom orders, though currently am not doing custom work. When I have new slots open, I will send out a newsletter letting everyone know and post on Instagram! Contact me with your ideas and we can work on something together. I will do my best to make your adornment wishes come true.

Repairs:
For most repairs within a years time of receiving your order, I do not charge for the repair work. Past one year's time and depending on what the issue is, I do have to charge a small fee to repair any damage from vigorous wear or misuse. The fee depends on the degree of damage and amount of work that would need to be done to remedy the piece.

To take the best care of your jewels, please see this detailed care page I have written up that covers just about everything when it comes to caring for handmade jewelry:

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't know my ring size?

If you aren't sure of what ring size you wear I highly recommend you go to a local jeweler to be sized accurately. There are inexpensive ring sizers on the market, but the most accurate sizing will come from a jeweler and their experience! Printable paper sizers and string methods are pretty unreliable and I do not recommend them.

I do have plastic ring sizers available if you are unable to get to a jeweler or do not have one locally. They are $10 with shipping and come with a small discount code for your next order. Just contact me to get one!

What if I ordered the wrong size?

If you placed an order and accidentally hit the wrong size in the drop-down, just send me a message letting me know with the correct size and I will make note of it!

If you received your order and the size you ordered is not the right size for you after all, contact me and we can work on either exchanging for the correct size or sizing up your ring for you. Shipping expenses for sizing corrections are the responsibility of the customer.

Most one of a kind rings in my shop can be sized up a 1/2 size or so, but they cannot be sized down.

Custom and personalized orders

I may take on custom projects if my schedule allows. I keep a limited number of custom slots available at any given time because I like to be able to devote enough attention to each project. Contact me to see if I have any openings.

Custom work generally costs about 30% more than made to order or ready to ship items. This is because I am working one on one with you to create a piece in your vision. Production times may be a bit longer than my usual time frame depending on whether or not specific stones or materials need to be ordered. I require full payment before work is started.

Other pieces that are considered custom: pieces that are altered to your request such as customized chains, special order stones, and metal changes

When will I receive my order?

My production time for made to order pieces is 10-14 days

One of a Kind and Ready Made pieces will ship out 2-3 days after placing order

*If you need a piece sooner than my production time please contact me before ordering to see if I can accommodate your time frame. I can promise ship by dates, but do not guarantee exact delivery dates unless you opt for overnight delivery.

International Customers: Please know that you may be charged VAT/import fees

My business is based in the US and I am not registered or allowed by law to collect VAT or other fees and taxes imposed by international governments and postal systems. All prices shown are NOT INCLUDING taxes, carrier fees or duties. Please ask your local postal authorities or do a search online to estimate any additional costs you may have when ordering from outside of your country. These fees are the buyers responsibility to pay.

All customs forms for international orders are filled out correctly and honestly as to the value of whats inside.
