Making people smile.
The Jayne Danger name began as an idea for an incredible clothing line. Once I dug in, I realized that I was unsure how to grade patterns to fit anyone but myself. Oops! I still really wanted to start a business where I sold handmade items, so I started creating plushies for friends and family.
My first Jayne Danger plushie run consisted of an octopus, a whale, and a couple unique creatures. I'm afraid of sea creatures, so of course those critters were first on my mind! Once the octopus sold, I started getting more and more requests for them. From there, I developed a pattern and started making as many as possible.
My favorite thing about making octo-plushies is seeing the faces light up when my customers first see them. No one can resist smiling when they see cute things! I love it <3

Hello! My name's Ashley, and Jayne Danger is my full time job. While I sew, I watch a lot of period drama films. A lot. When I'm not sewing, I study apparel design at Iowa State University, play video games, and... wait, when am I not sewing? ;)
