Rustic | Historic | Nostalgic

I'm JC Spock and I create art that speaks to a bygone era and simpler times.

My art incorporates many layers of different mediums – acrylic paints, inks, pencils, pastels and vintage ephemera (old letters, tickets, receipts, postcards, ledgers, etc.) layered with my photography as the focal point of each piece. It is a multi-step process and each piece contains many layers. This lends to a contemporary piece of art with a vintage aesthetic.

As an old soul, I'm drawn to old buildings, old documents and old history. I love to scour antique shops for vintage/antique ephemera to incorporate into my backgrounds and I love to photograph the West as I see it and interpret the story through the paint, paper and photography incorporated in each piece. I'm perfectly situated between the mountains and prairies of Colorado and love to explore the areas around me that speak to the bygone era I long to revisit.

To see my work in process and learn about me and what inspires me, check out my Instagram account. To get first look at new artwork and to learn about my upcoming events, subscribe to the monthly list on my website at www.jcspock.com.

Returns and exchange details
If you are not happy with the item you purchased, please let me know within 7 days of receipt. I'll be happy to refund your purchase (minus original shipping costs) once I receive the item(s) back in original condition. Shipping costs associated with sending items back are the responsibility of the buyer.

Because of the delicate nature of original artwork, those items will need to be shipped back in original packaging or as close to the original packaging. Refunds are only allowed if items are returned back in sellable condition, so please package carefully. I also encourage you to get tracking on your package as I am unable to refund until the return is back in my possession (insurance is also recommended, especially for original artwork).

Please double check your mailing address submitted at time of purchase as I am unable to refund or replace your order if the item was sent to an incorrect or old address and has gone missing. Thanks for understanding.
Orders are shipped within 3 business days of purchase, often sooner via USPS first class (or priority for larger/heavier pieces of artwork). Due to the nature of one-of-a-kind original artwork, signature will be required on orders over $100.
