my.loterîa.t's got started when I had an art show in late 2010. When I was installing my paintings, it hit me. Why not put my art on kid's shirts, but I wanted something different that would last.
One day I went to my folks house and my mom brought out my favorite game and that’s when it hit me. Why not reinvent “La Loterìa” ( a popular Mexican Bingo game that has a number on the left hand corner and a Spanish title of the image ) using my images and born in Los Angeles, let’s make the titles Spanglish. How L.A. can you get.
On June 2011, I had two designs ready and found a really good screen printing company on the west side. Number one, "el.watermelon" ( because of Frida ) and number two, "el.teddybear" ( now discontinued and replaced with “Los.Dodgers” ) are the first two toddler shirts of “my.loterìa.t’s” clothing line.
July 2011, booked my first show in SilverLake (Los Angeles, CA) and the toddler shirts where at hit! Thanks to you, I have the opportunity to create and bring you more. Abrazos!
