Finding Purpose Is Difficult Sometimes

My name is Drew and I grew up with a carpenter for a father, but never took much of an interest in woodworking while growing up. A few years after the college grind and spending most of my adult life working for a corporate entity, I fell back into the family business a few years ago and have loved every minute of it since.

This Etsy shop is my solo effort at finding my niche in this highly creative and always intriguing career path.

Where this journey will go, I have no idea, but I am happy to be here.

Thanks for reading and thanks for supporting.

Grace and Peace,
-J. Drew Silvers

I really just want to make things that make other people happy. I’m a second generation carpenter who apprenticed under my father for two years before branching out on my own. My outside hobbies are working on cars and playing guitar.

Through three years of full-time apprenticeship, I was shown what it means to create something just because it exists in your mind. I understand what it means to feel what you create and to have a working knowledge and a hand in every step of the process. I live my life with minimal technology and apply the same to my craft, because sometimes the old way is the best way. There are enough factories - there is enough reproduction - enough duplication. I would rather you have something unique, designed in-process, backed by years of experience by someone who loves what they do every single day.

Payments processed through Etsy Checkout and PayPal.
Please be certain your address is correct within your Etsy information before placing an order! Due to the amount of product I ship out each week, I cannot guarantee I will remember to change your address, even if you message me that the address on your actual order is incorrect. If your package is shipped to the wrong address due to it being incorrect on your Etsy information, I will not be held responsible. You will have to handle the re-delivery from that point.

All items are shipped insured via USPS or FedEx. I will assist with insurance claims but cannot be held responsible for damage incurred during transit. Be sure to keep all packaging after your product has been opened as USPS and FedEx may ask for pictures of the packaging if anything arrived damaged and is subject to an insurance claim.

All duty fees and import tariffs for international shipments are the responsibility of whomever placed the order from my Etsy shop, as I have no way of knowing what the import regulations are in your country.

Shipment deadlines may be moved at my discretion due to my hand blended stains curing naturally. They usually cure within five days and are ready to ship, but sometimes, due to humidity, I may postpone shipping for a day or two to be sure the stain is fully cured.
