My name is Jelena and I am in love with textiles and craft, I am constantly looking for inspiration in the surrounding nature, I believe that my little creative experiments make the world a little bit happier and warmer.
When I became a mom, I fell in love with Waldorf toys and started making wool felted darling presents for my two sons. In my shop you can find toys in Waldorf style, which are best suited for the development of children's imagination and free play.
I really like when amazing fairy tale characters are born from warm material. Each of them has its own character, mood and soul. Each toy I create is one of a kind, even if a copy is made, it will still be unique.
The main techniques I use are needle felting and wet felting, often combined. Much attention is put into detail. It usually takes several hours to finish one of my carefully crafted pieces. I am self-thought, that is why I am continuously enjoying freedom of experimenting and learning.
I love to use natural wool in various shades of grey, brown and white, but I enjoy experimenting with strong colors as well.
My creations are made from natural materials: wool, silk, bamboo fiber, cotton, linen. I avoid using glue. Most parts are felted or sewn together.
Wool fascinated me so much that I am constantly experimenting with it and looking for new forms for my handicrafts: accessories, items of clothing.
