About Jemberelli

Sales 19
On Etsy since 2020

How it all started...

Some time ago I bought myself a hand stamped bookmark. The process intrigued me and I fancied having a go. I treated myself to the basics and quickly found myself spending a fortune on metal stamping materials and constantly thinking of things I could do, how I could improve, what I could buy next! I had been well and truly bitten by the bug...

Fast forward to now. After numerous requests from family & friends, I took the plunge and set up Jemberelli. This is my full time job and working from home allows me to work around my fibromyalgia bad days! I am now learning to silversmith and am living my dream!

The advantages of buying from my Etsy shop are numerous!
* no going out in the rain
* browsing and buying at your leisure, even at midnight!
* I am approachable and my favourite part of my job is liaising with people, discussing how we can make an items that are truly personal and unique
* the only thing that is out of bounds is copyrighted material so you can get as sweary as you like!

I look forward to helping you find your little piece of hand stamped magic!

Frequently asked questions
Can I message you to order a bespoke item?

Of course! Most items can be personalised or altered so that you can have your own wording (assuming there is room). Charms, Swarovski crystals and birthstone charms can be added. Whilst I cannot stock every shape, size, charm or crystal colour, I can do my best to track down what you want.
Please do message me if you have any queries about making a piece personal to you or even to discuss a completely new idea with me.

What is the difference between hand stamping and engraving?

Engraving is done by machine and each letter is 'perfect' whereas hand stamping is done using metal letter and design stamps and a hammer, one stamp at a time. There will be inevitably be differences in letter depth and spacing. There may be blemishes on the back of the item as the metal is displaced each time I stamp. Engraving removes the metal so this is not an issue. Hand stamping therefore has a more rustic and organic look and it is this character that attracts people to hand stamped goods. Each item is filed, stamped, coloured where required, polished and assembled by me personally and each piece will be individual to you.

Dispatch and Delivery Details

Each listing will show approximate processing times, usually 4-5 days but I do try to get them finished sooner. This is the time it takes me to make and package the item and get it to the Post Office.

Please message me if you have any queries once you have received your email telling you that I have dispatched your item.

Most items in the UK are delivered within 3 working days but it can take the Royal Mail longer on occasions. I am unable to chase them until 10 working days have passed so please bear this in mind if an item has not arrived before this time.

Also please bear in mind that overseas parcels will take a bit longer. Items posted to the USA are subject to Customs which can cause delays.

Can you post as a gift direct to someone else?

If your chosen item is intended as a gift for someone else, you can message me their name and address at the time of order. I am more than happy to them send direct.

All items come packed in a purple organza bag, wrapped in branded vellum. There is also a listing to have a small card added in to your order with a personalised, hand-written message.

Can I buy in bulk?

Yes, I can do bulk orders. Please contact me in the first instance so that we can discuss requirements, pricing, availability and timings.

As set out in my shop policies, I do accept returns as long as the item is not bespoke or personalised. Postage costs must be paid by the buyer and the item returned via Royal Mail First class signed for (UK buyers) or tracked shipping (International buyers).

If the item is in unused, pristine condition then the original item cost and original shipping cost will be reimbursed.

Please do contact me should you have any issues and I will do my utmost of resolve them.

International returns but have RETURN clearly marked on the package so as to avoid customs charges. If this is not done then any charges incurred at this end will be deducted from your refund.

Caring for your jewellery - aluminium

Aluminium does not tarnish and will not cause your skin to go green. However, it does scratch easily and may dull over time. It is hypoallergenic so you are *unlikely* to have a reaction to it. It is a malleable metal which means if you continuously bend it in the same place it may snap.

To avoid this when putting on a cuff, adjust the opening of the cuff slightly so that you can slip it on over the narrow part of your wrist and rotate it into place. To take it off, simply rotate until you are able to slip the cuff over the narrow part of your wrist. Once you adjusted it to your size you shouldn't need to bend the metal again, ensuring years of use.

Caring for your jewellery - other metals

Copper and brass can cause a chemical reaction between the metal and your skin, leaving a greenish tinge. I do use wax to slow this process but it is not possible to stop the reaction completely. The amount of discolouration varies from person to person and it does fade after a couple of days.

The stamped part of your jewellery will fade if you wear it in water. If you do get it wet, wipe it dry as soon as you can. It is also a good idea to buff your jewellery with a microfibre cloth when you take it off to remove your skin's natural oils.

If you live in a particularly humid area you can keep your item in a resealable plastic bag to help slow down the tarnishing process. You can polishing pads to buff up your jewellery.
