I'm selling original paintings and drawings that I create myself. I use both real life subjects and imaginary ones that are inspired by my interest in movies and literature. I use a variety of art mediums and enjoy making mixed media pieces in my sketchbook and on toned paper. Some of my pieces are done using charcoal and I use fixative to keep them from smudging. Many of my pieces are built up using several layers of ink, pencil and acrylic so they have a lot of textural interest. I don't generally add a varnish to my pieces because it creates reflections where I don't want them and I don't want to disturb the delicate features of the materials used. I like the subtle variety of matte/gloss characteristics that each material naturally has and don't want to interfere with that too much. I like spiral bound sketchbooks with thick paper and the pieces taken directly from my sketchbook are carefully cut out preserving the holes in the paper. I use only professional grade materials.
