About

Clay is transformed into artistic pottery, designed to add beauty to every day.

When I was 13, I folded a piece of clay into some paper and tucked it into a time capsule a friend and I were making. On the slip of paper I wrote "is this the stuff of dreams?" I loved working with clay as a teenager and feel incredibly lucky to be a professional potter now. It is indeed the stuff of dreams for me. It has been such a powerful creative outlet that I only feel "myself" when I've been able to get a little muddy.

Currently, I am a part-time potter and stay-at-home mom. I work with clay nearly every day, either in my own home studio, or teaching and helping run the Stoneware Studio (778 Corydon Ave, Winnipeg, MB, Can.). I love the challenge of applying artistic concepts to functional pottery. Who says art can't be functional? It is one way I can add some beauty to the world, because even a coffee cup can be a meaningful part of someone's day. Little things mean a lot, even though we don't always realize it!

Clay is such an integral part of who I am, what I do, and what I hope to become. It is my intention, as a maker of useful art, to add a little bit of beauty to the world with each piece I create.

Shipping
Items listed are in stock and will be carefully packaged and sent out for delivery within one of two days of receiving payment. I ship using Canada Post. Alternative methods for shipping can be discussed and shipping rates adjusted accordingly. Shipping one-of-a-kind pottery requires extra-careful attention and I make sure each package is prepared for whatever rough handling may come its way!

Also, if you are purchasing multiple items, I will do my best to package them as efficiently as possible. If this means the shipping cost is much lower than expected, I will gladly refund the extra shipping amount. Or convo me ahead of your purchases and I'll see what I can do to make packaging most efficient and adjust the shipping prices accordingly.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will make a full refund for any item that has been damaged in shipping.
Additional policies and FAQs
Hand-made pottery is truly unique and my method of firing produces glaze effects that are very difficult to replicate. Each piece will have it's own character, as opposed to what has been mass-produced.

Packaging pottery for shipment takes a lot of care but I've had excellent success. If you are buying multiple items, I will do my best to package them as safely and efficiently as possible. If this results in a shipping cost that is much lower than expected, I will be happy to refund a portion of the shipping costs. Hey, I want to make it work for both of us!
