Jennifer Kahn - Jewelry for Adventurous Women

A bit about me...

I've been making jewelry for over a decade. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in Art and English in 2001. That year I met renowned jewelry artist, Celie Fago and became her apprentice and teaching assistant. For 9 years I accompanied her in her travels around the country and abroad.

Now I spend my days making jewelry full time and selling it at my booth at the Burlington Artist Market, locally at Trinket and trunk shows, and online in my Etsy shop .

I’ve sold my work at craft shows and in galleries across Vermont and been included in exhibits in the US, UK and Japan. My work has been featured in top jewelry magazines and several books; and made the cover of the Lark book "Stitched Jewels".

I love what I do and feel very lucky to being doing it!

*The JK symbol that I use is not only my initials, it is also the Chinese symbol for "Forever".

My designs fuse old and new, industrial and natural, urban and ethnic. I love working with PMC, 24k gold, sterling, copper, brass, semi-precious stones, found objects, leather and feathers.
jenkahn uses 2 manufacturers.

  • Metal Cutter New York, United States This company cuts some of my earring shapes, which saves my hand from having to cut them out individually!
  • Casting Vermont, United States This company casts some of my pieces in sterling and brass. I make the original in Precious Metal Clay and they make high quality copies of them which allows me to keep the prices down.
