Greetings! My passion is creating unique and meaningful artwork for your home, and all sales support pain management for my daughter battling Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS/RSD) and Fibromyalgia. I create original hand cut and painted latex on heavy #8 (18 oz) cotton canvas for use as a durable rug to protect floors and tabletops, or hang on the wall as fine art. Each one is unique due to the rustic fabric texture and free hand production; I do not use stencils. The natural fibers and paint process creates some size variation. I hope you will enjoy the discovery of this hand made quality that has been lost in cheap mass production and drive for machine made perfection.
My product is inspired by the technique and use of painted canvas floor coverings in the 18th century. This has a reputation for lasting many years with proper care, being very durable, and can even be repainted if needed. I enjoy researching my designs from original sources from the 1700s, such as Delft tiles, Chinoiserie wallpaper, newspaper graphics and illustrations. Most of the places I show my work are historical events and locations, such as George Washington's Mount Vernon, in Virginia. I enjoy these events that immerse us in the 18th century, which includes us dressing for the time period and creating a whole experience for visitors.
Custom orders can be placed for site specific sizes, colors, designs, sets of place mats, and table runners for weddings, parties, etc. Prices are reasonable to encourage everyone to enjoy original fine art in their home. The sale of my art does not transfer copyright or any reproduction rights, although they may be available.
Thank you for supporting a one woman owned business!

Photo at Mount Vernon's Colonial Market and Fair; dressing the part at historic events is a fun way to show floorcloths.
Creating art to support pain management for my daughter with CRPS and Fibromyalgia
I explore every opportunity not just for my own passion, but because I am also a parent with a young adult who has battled CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) and Fibromyalgia for nearly a decade now. I am hoping to increase my artwork's success so I can provide a comfortable environment, proper medical care, and opportunities for her as she manages painful symptoms.
I grew up in a family of artists and have been painting and drawing on and off my whole life. My late grandmother used to tell me when I was a kid that some of my work reminded her of her cousin's art, Wayne Thiebaud. My great grandfather Jesse LeBaron is said to have been a great cartoonist who taught his nephew, Wayne, how to draw. My mother is also an accomplished oil painter. Her historic artwork is respected and displayed at historic sites such as Mount Vernon (www.whitehistoricart.com). I am now a self employed artist who paints everything- walls, canvas, 18th century floorcloths, and anything that needs a fresh look.
I am inspired by nature- animals, flowers, everything has a color or shape that is amazing. Nature holds exquisite patterns which has influenced art throughout history and across the globe. My experience with creative jobs in t-shirt design, pottery instruction, and even cake decoration have also influenced my work. I spend a lot of time outdoors and I look for natural subjects to translate into a work of art; birds and flowers in particular. Then I combine them with a love of fabric, wallpaper, and tile patterns which cross history and borders. I have been working on my collection for some time now and am enjoying my work on new paintings and floorcloths.
