Announcement   Nature inspired needle craft kits for beginner and expert stitchers alike. Designed and made in Scotland by artist and designer Jenny Blair.

*ABOUT THE KITS*
I LOVE to embroider and sew, but struggled to find the kind of designs that matched my own style and decor, and that would actually end up on the wall rather than the (already over stuffed!) drawer... so I decided to come up with my own!

All the kits are hand assembled in my home studio, in a pet free and smoke free environment.
Each component of the kits have been thoughtfully considered and every effort has been made to provide good quality while also supporting other UK businesses. The embroidery hoops are made from beautiful beech wood , made in the UK. Also all the fabric and instruction printing is done in the UK.

*ARE YOU A BEGINNER?*
Each kit comes with full instructions, but if you are a little nervous and need some extra support you will find a host of helpful tutorials on embroidery stitches and sewing techniques at my website that will provide the help you need ;)

This was a gift, and the recipient is very pleased with it. She said it is lovely. Mainly, though, I want to say that Jenny, the shop owner, was terrific! I gave her the wrong address for shipping. She sent another at a lower price before the first was returned to her, as there was a time factor. When the first package was returned to her, she refunded the price of the second kit. So I paid extra shipping from the UK, but not for two kits. A lucky outcome for a silly mistake! She's a wonderful communicator. She wrapped the gift beautifully and included a nice note. She was very kind. Thank you, Jenny!

About

Blooming and sewing

When I was 9 years old I was introduced to embroidery. It was literally love at first stitch though the fact that I won the sewing prize at school that year may have helped! But it's never left...that utter delight and pleasure in the simple act of sewing.... Each stitch, the thread colours, the design I am sewing, the finished item... Oh it makes me happy indeed..... and so the motive behind the kits and patterns you find here.

As for the designs? Well, there are lots of lovely embroidery designs out there but none of them felt like a fit for my style and my home. I wanted to create something modern and fresh which others would enjoy stitching, and which I would actually put on the wall rather than in my (already overstuffed) drawer!
I love design and illustration, I'm a big fan of colour and texture, plus nature is my go to place for inspiration ...... so it seemed like the most natural thing to combine all these ingredients together.

I really hope you enjoy stitching the kits as much as I do :)
