Jenny, the ring is so beautiful and I got to wear it on the most beautiful of days since my own wedding 35 years ago. My daughter looked amazing on her wedding day. It was magical. The whole evening, Eric looked so handsome also. What a gorgeous couple they make. Thank you so much, Bert

It took me a while to make this purchase. I was pregnant when I first saw Jenny's work, and I was so excited because I planned to name my baby Rose. Months later, I finally was able to purchase these beautiful rose earrings to commemorate my daughter's birth. These are substantial, well made, beautiful. This is something I can and will give to my daughter when She is old enough for earrings. I have not taken them off since I got them. It looks great when I am dressed up for work, and when I am in casual clothes. I have gotten countless compliments on. I cannot wait until Jenny is able to make jewelry again (and hopefully custom orders again too)!

Jenny was my first-ever favorite silversmith when I first encountered her work six years ago. And nothing has changed. I just adore her artistic sensibilities. How substantial her creations are. The detail in every petal and leaf. The alloys she chooses. I've never seen a finer hue of rose gold. This ring is one I will wear forever. Perfect in every way. Thank you, Jenny, for your kindness throughout the years. Thank you for your art.

Metalsmith, Sculptor, Artist
Hello! I'm a metalsmith artist, born and raised in California. I took my first basic Metal Arts class in 2004, with the intent of learning a new hobby, and simply making myself a few rings. I immediately fell in love with metalwork, and eventually took the plunge in 2007 to pursue my passion on a full-time basis.
Each of my pieces is created using the ancient "Lost-Wax Casting" method, made from a one-of-a-kind, original model, which I first sculpt from wax. Over the next few days, I will create a temporary, plaster-like mold called an "investment" around the model, burn out the wax, heat the investment in a kiln, and then (the fun part), with the use of an oxy-propane torch, I hand-pour molten metal from a crucible into the investment. Finally, there is the cleanup and finishing work, which in some cases, can take almost as much time as the initial sculpting.
This multi-step process occurs over several days even for a single piece. I genuinely enjoy the entire casting process, but I love the sculpting part most of all, and therefore, I do not have any re-usable molds to copy the same piece multiple times -- so, each piece is truly an original -- every petal of each flower, every fine detail, is unique.
I sculpt at home in San Mateo, and then do all the dirty work at my workshop in South San Francisco.
I'm also a one-woman business: All the sculpting, casting, and finishing work, as well as the photography, bookkeeping, and website maintenance are done by "yours truly," in order to keep my costs as low as possible.

Additional policies and FAQs
If you are unsure of your ring size, I recommend visiting a local jewelry store to check your size! Virtually all jewelry stores will check your ring size as a complimentary service.
I DO NOT recommend using the PDF paper strips found online, as I have seen the sizing to be inaccurate by about a half-size in many cases. (A half-size can make enough of a difference for a ring to be completely unwearable.)
