Excellent craftsmanship, quick shipping, and a really helpful, friendly seller. This is my second nursing cover from Jen--I misplaced my first one and the other covers I tried just didn't cut it.

This item is perfect! Every other nursing cover I have owned has had the annoying sailors hook knot. This one has perfect snaps that stay in place. Not only that but it is slightly bigger than the average cover to provide extra coverage! I love it so much I ordered 2 and will probably order another for a friend who is expecting 😄👍

About

I'm glad I took the risk!

I started my Etsy Shop on the encouragment of friends whom I had given nursing covers to as Baby Shower gifts. "You could totally sell these on Etsy!" I kept hearing over and over.

So I took a chance and put myself out there at the beginning of 2011. A bit of a New Year's Resolution you might say. Plus I had some Christmas money I could throw towards the initial start up costs. It was scary at first! What if someone bought a cover and hated it and left horrible feedback? What if I wasn't really good enough and nobody wanted to buy something that *I* made?

This has been a wonderful growing experience for me and I'm so glad I took the risk! I've grown in my skills and enjoy choosing fabrics that will be challenging to sew in order to push myself a bit.

I've found that I really enjoy walking through fabric stores, feeling the bolts, studying the patterns, choosing which ones I think will make the best covers. As I browse through all of the colors and patterns, I like to imagine friends and acquaintances using something I've made out of that particular material. What would Julie like best? Erinn? Lauren? My sister? Which one fits Angela's style? Tia's? Brooke's?

Of course it takes me twice as long to sew my items as it should because I have three precious daughters who don't understand the concept of uninterrupted work time. lol. But they are part of the reason why I do this. Using my creativity on things that I am proud of makes me a better mom. It teaches my children the value of art, industriousness and self-improvement. Sewing simple things for those YOU love brings me extra money to care for those I love.

I have to admit that I also love the thrill of a sale. :) It makes me feel good to know that out of the thousands of options on Etsy, someone chose what I made because they saw value in what I created. My children are sweet, but they are 3, 6, and 9, and I don't get a lot of appreciation or job well done's for changing diapers, playing school, and making their PB&J sandwiches. lol.

Thank you for the opportunity to be creative, set a good example for my girls, and do something I get recognized for during my day! I hope that the things I create will be beneficial for your families and the families of those you love, also.

Enjoy looking through my shop!
