Jen Spilly Designs

Jen Spilly Designs brings you handcrafted functional textile pieces for woman and home. Each piece is meticulously designed and assembled in my studio using hand-painted, hand-dyed and printed natural fabrics, genuine leather and quality hardware. Most of the pieces are one-of-a-kind.

My connection to nature is always reflected in my work through both form and fiber. I’m also greatly inspired by traditional and modern embroidery and quilting, as well as knitting and crochet, thread art and paper crafts.

Though my mother and grandmother were both sewers throughout my childhood, it wasn’t until a required costumes class while I was studying stage management at St. Louis’s Webster University that I finally learned to use a sewing machine. I immediately fell in love with the meditative quality of sewing and continued to build my sewing skills after I changed paths to finally earn my degree in Art History at San Francisco State University. Now, more than 25 years later, after a brief career in museum exhibitions management, I am thrilled to call sewing my career.

A San Francisco native, I now live just north of The City in San Rafael, California with my husband, two teenagers, Milo the dog and Louie the cat.

Returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, all SALE items are final and not returnable. If your NON-SALE items do not reach expectations, we offer a 14-day return policy from delivery of purchase. You may return your non-sale item for a full refund of the purchase price.

To return or exchange an item, please email hello [!at] jenspillydesigns.com for approval and return address.

All returns must meet the following conditions;

You must ship your return to Jen Spilly Designs within 14 days of receipt of delivery.

The customer is responsible for return shipping transportation costs, unless there was an error on the part of Jen Spilly Designs (i.e. you received the wrong item or item was shipped defective).

You must ship your return via a trackable shipping method that provides a tracking number (USPS Priority Mail or insured Parcel Post).

Your returned item must be in its unused, original condition to be qualified for a refund.

You must include either the original packing slip or printed email order confirmation with the returned item.

Upon receipt of your return item, we will work to process your refund or exchange as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind, that due to Covid 19 protocols, extra time may be needed for sanitization. We also realize that the US Postal Service is currently experiencing delays in some situations. “We” are really just one person and greatly appreciate your patience in regards to our shipping and return times in light of current events. 
Payment
Please make payments via PayPal within 48 hours of placing your final order. Purchases left unpaid will be re-listed after 48 hours.

Shipments made to California addresses are subject to local sales tax. This amount will be added to your total during the PayPal checkout process. All items ship within 2 business days of your received payment, unless otherwise noted. Packages are shipped to the address provided on your PayPal account.
Shipping
Domestic orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, First Class Mail, or Parcel Post dependant on the price of shipping and package weight. Delivery confirmation is included.

If you are purchasing multiple items or your package requires International Shipping, please contact me and I will provide a shipping estimate and details for your consideration.

Items are usually shipped in a USPS box mailer or flat padded envelope. Great care is taken to protect your purchase.

If you wish to upgrade or downgrade shipping, please contact me and I will recalculate your shipping costs on request.
