Jennifer was very diligent and determined to make my custom order perfect. I really appreciated her follow up questions and regular communication with me. I absolutely love my planter. My orchid sits happily and beautifully inside. Thank you Jenspringsceramics.

Beautiful! The seller was able to customize just as asked, some FOUR previous sellers had been unable to do correctly. After a frustrating process to create this memory with others, we were so pleased with the result, and found the process with JENSPRINGCERAMICS to be flawless and stress free. Forever grateful

About

Turning mud into beautifully crafted modern ceramics

I discovered the love of clay over 15 years ago when I took a class at a small studio in Ballard, WA. Initially, it was an incredibly frustrating experience to center clay and make anything more than a small dish, let alone successfully trim and glaze it as well. That frustration evolved into a quest to conquer the challenges that come at every step in the creation of a ceramic piece. As I kept with it over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the total focus and attention to detail it takes to create pottery. I’m captivated and a little obsessive about how I can create something beautiful out of a block of mud. And the feeling of opening the kiln at the end of the process is like getting a beautifully wrapped present.

I love that after all these years, I’m still learning new ways of creating and experimenting. I now use a combination of ceramics techniques to get the best outcome, whether it be slip casting, hand building, or wheel throwing.

Clay invites the sense of touch and everything I make it intended to enhance that experience. I also am drawn to modern patterns and bold colors, which you will see throughout my pieces.

Prior to creating my ceramic art business, I worked in the field of branding and graphic design. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University. My span of ceramic education comes from years of courses through Lily and The People, Redmond Clay Studio, and Pottery Northwest.
