About

How I Sarted

Hi, my name is Jessica Hamilton (Jessee Lin),

I have been making jewelry and sewing as long as I can remember. One of my fondest memories was sitting on my mother's lap while she was sewing my clothes on an old treadle sewing machine. Growing up a family of artisans, I started repairing my own broken jewelry and creating pieces for myself, friends and family. The natural progression was designing my own line. The fashion available in general stores, I found boring and knew if I designed my own I would have exactly the right color, fit, and style for me. A dream I am trying to help come true for other women. (now if I could only learn how to make shoes I would be all set!). You will find more than just clothing and jewelry from time to time, as any artist I like to experiment with new media.

Pursuing my passion, in the summer of 2007 I decided to start selling my jewelry at local shows, music festivals and farmers markets. Loving to work with other creative people, in 2010, I opened a store in Spring Lake, Michigan. This store featured over 40 local artists' work, open studio, and classes. I named the business after the goddess Minerva, who sponsored huge gathering of scientists, artists and philosophers to exchange creative ideas and projects. Fall 2013 I started re-fashioning clothing. I found the idea of giving a “new look” to old clothing exciting. My favorite materials to work with are wool, angora, cashmere, silk and other natural fibers, but acrylics have there place in the recycling world also.

For my jewelry most of my supplies I buy from local bead stores, some local artists, and one of kind Dichroic glass pieces. I use high quality materials in each piece of jewelry including sterling silver, semi precious gem stones and 14K gold filled components. I also do repairs and custom work.

I know you'll enjoy wearing my jewelry, clothing and accessories as much as I love creating it.

Most of my jewelry can be easily adjusted to fit any size at no extra charge. Just drop me a note with your order telling me what size you need.

Your bracelet or anklet size is the length around your wrist or ankle, plus about 3/4" to 1" depending on how tight or loose you like to wear it.
