Announcement   We are moving studios! I will be closing shop this month for the rest of the summer so I can safely move my kiln and all my supplies!
I have many pieces already made for sale though! Many at discounted prices.

Exciting things are happening here! My work will be featured on a design wall for a major cruise line! Holland America's new MS Koningsdam!

Bring a little outdoors inside! That's what I've always done.. Ask my mom... She was the one picking up the trail of sticks and grass leading up to my room. So its no surprise that my line of ceramic serving ware is inspired by nature's beauty.
I am an artist, a teacher, a wife, a mom of two little boys and a malignant brain tumor and thyroid cancer survivor. I work out of my home in the hills for upstate New york and enjoy every minute I get creating my art!
A portion of my proceeds will be donated the the American Brain Tumor Association.

All of my items are hand drawn, hand painted, hand glazed and loaded in the kiln by me.
They are fired to 1850 degrees!
Because I am the sole producer, I ask that you kindly be patient! :)

I use only non-toxic paint and glazes and all pieces are dishwasher safe, although washing by hand is recommended to keep pieces from cracking or becoming dull.
My work has been featured in New York Magazine, Relish.com, Design sponge, dwell.com, thekitchn.com, apartmenttherapy and other blogs. I am also featured in shops and galleries across the country, from Brooklyn, NY to Bethesda, MD and Santa barbara, CA. Also a featured artist on Houzz and Opensky.
I love to make personalized or custom work and I welcome wholesale orders. Contact info jessicahowardceramics [!at] gmail.com

the platter was acceptable. The quality of the cursive in having it personalized was not.

This serving plate is gorgeous. It is even more beautiful in person. It arrived quickly and was cleverly wrapped it layers of bubble tape, cardboard, and packing peanuts to keep it safe on its journey through the mail. I gave this as plate as a gift, and now I want all of the pieces myself! Who doesn't need some artful octopus platters in their lives?

Incredibly beautiful mugs. They are a perfect and substantial size for warm cups of coffee or tea. Most importantly, though, this seller is awesome to work with! I gave these as a shower gift and Jessica helped them arrive safely and on time. She was also very patient with all the questions that I had, and she responded quickly. I will certainly order from her again!

At 17 years old Jessica Howard was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Terrified she was thrown into a whirlwind of tests and toxins. It all culminated into a seven-hour surgery that left her unable to speak or walk for days.
She still recalls in vivid detail the struggle to regain her art, to learn to draw again. “It was like drawing backwards. I needed to find my lines again”, she explains. “To rediscover my strength in my lines. Each line needed to be re-imagined, made whole again.”
Today, years later, she is whole. Married, with two healthy boys she is now cancer free and the lines on her pieces are both bold and clear. Each one a reflection of the treasures she hunted for as a child on the bucolic North Shore of Long Island in those years before the storm, life affirming memories of her strength. The tree limbs, the blades of grass, the lonesomeness of dead ocean life, even the breath of the waves and grains of sand.
