4 out of 5 starsThis keychain is really nice and the craftsmanship and customer service is excellent. Sadly, it’s quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. My fault for not paying attention.

About jessiemccann
Handcrafted and Handstamped Jewelry in California
I have always had a passion for the creative process and the joy it brings. The act of conceiving something new and then using the tools at hand to give that idea substance and meaning has inspired me throughout my life. When I was in my early twenties I knew I had this enthusiasm, but I didn't know what to DO with it or which direction to take. I decided to enroll in the Industrial Design program at the University of Illinois, where I learned to conceive and design new consumer products like toys, kitchen appliances, and housewares. I also learned how to use machine tools and woodworking techniques to create prototypes of my designs. This was all excellent training for someone like myself who is "moved to create" and has proven invaluable in helping me hone my skills for those things I really love to do. During this time I began to learn about gemstones and beads, and dabbled in gem setting as a hobby. I also studied the art of typography, soldering, and other jewelry making techniques. Then, shortly after graduation, I set about designing and fabricating jewelry items and giving them as gifts to my friends and relatives who were overwhelmingly supportive. They loved my work and urged me to continue to pursue my craft. My future husband Larry, who also has a background in design, joined me and over the years what had started as a part-time hobby gradually evolved into our full-time business.
Each piece of jewelry is handmade using precious or semi-precious gemstones, high quality metals, and fine craftsmanship. And because everything is made-to-order or personalized, each item is either one-of-a-kind or one of a very limited edition. That means the jewelry we create for you will be something special for life's most treasured moments and will last for years to come.

Custom and personalized orders
We love to create custom orders. All custom orders are completed on a first come, first served basis. The work starts on a custom order when the payment has been received (or cleared, in the case of e-checks). We will let you know an approximate completion time when your order is received. In the case where some materials may need to be ordered, this can take 5 - 7 business days for the material to arrive, in addition to the time it will take to complete your order. When you place your order, you will be notified if the material you have selected need to be ordered, so you have the option to choose another material or wait for the material to arrive. If you do not see the shape or size in a particular piece, or would like to customize it wi

Care instructions
CARING FOR STERLING SILVER JEWELRY
Store your sterling silver jewelry in zip-lock bag or with a tarnish prevention cloth when not in use. The bag will keep it from exposing to the air. The treated cloth slows down the tarnishing process and keeps the jewelry from rubbing against harder jewelry that might scratch it. Try to to keep your sterling silver jewelry in a cool, dry place.
CLEANING YOUR STERLING SILVER JEWELRY
Polishing cloths are an excellent choice for cleaning your sterling silver jewelry. Since the hand stamped jewelry has to go through a oxidation process, do not use any chemical base solution to clean your hand stamped pieces.
Sterling Silver Patina
Sterling silver jewelry that is worn continually often develops a lovely patina, a kind of glow combined with darkened areas. The tarnish/patina is caused by a combination of the contact with body sweat/moisture and the exposure to the air, which is very common in sterling silver or any genuine silver. If you like the look, leave it alone. If you prefer a bright and shiny look, use a polish cloth to restore the jewelry to its original appearance.
POLISHING PAD
I get this polishing pad in my shop that I like a lot.
www.etsy.com/listing/74923740/pro-polishing-pads-set-of-three
This pack is treated with anti-tarnish agent. You can polish the silver with the pack until it turns black, that means the anti-tarnish agent is activated.
Can I have text stamped on both sides?
Each listing is for single-side stamping only, unless it is specifically described as having double-side stamping. Optional, double-side stamping with thicker silver is available on many items upon request. Convo me for a quote and availability.
What are my font choices?
The most appropriate font for your jewelry will partially depend upon the size of the charm. Suggested fonts are listed below. Examples of each font can be seen in this link:
http://img2.etsystatic.com/012/0/5249137/il_fullxfull.426136966_7uyu.jpg
For simple initials and monograms the following fonts are generally a fine choice:
Medium Block, Large Block, or Script.
For names, expressions, slogans, etc. which require more spacing the following fonts are generally preferred:
Small Block, Casual, Typewriter, or Lower Case Serif.
If you have any questions regarding the best font for your jewelry, please contact us.
