About

I am hard at work getting all my paintings and prints available uploaded to Etsy! If you have seen a painting of mine online, that you are interested in, but don't see it here - please feel free to message me and I will set something up to get one to you! :)

All the prices are pretty consistent - a 12x18 will be $40 - or 2 for $60. A 5x7 will be $7 or 5 for $20. (I am discontinuing 4x6's so once those are gone, there wont be more availble though)

I've also recently opened a Patreon page - so if you are interested in seeing my process or even getting monthly prints - check it out! https://www.patreon.com/Jeszika

A little history of my journey to being an artist:

I just graduated last year with a degree in Chemistry, which might not sound like the most obvious path to becoming an artist. And it wasn't! I spent years working to stay on the honor roll and ace tests in the hopes of getting a safe career, a respectable career. And somehow, I still kept painting in every spare moment I had.

There was a battle going on in me. Having grown up around very academic fine-art programs, I believed that illustration could never be art. So I spent years trying to purge it from my art - till one day I found myself about to graduate with a chemistry degree and giving up on what I loved most. It sounds cheesy - but I really did have an epiphany. I realized that the fine art I loved, what I was most drawn to - Waterhouse, Gerome, Casper, Wyeth - these artists were all illustrative as well. They told stories with their art. They communicated ideas.

It was like my lungs feeling up with air. Suddenly, I no longer had to keep cutting away pieces of my art to make it 'art' - I finally gave myself permission to paint what I love - to tell stories with my art, to communicate, to explore realism while also exploring the imaginative.

I graduated, put my degree in a drawer somewhere and have spent the last year painting and building a new life. I recently opened my own art studio, website and this store - and couldn't be more excited!

Please look around, see if anything connects with you! I would love to share little beautiful pieces of my journey with you.
