About jewelparadise

Sales 157
On Etsy since 2009

Constantly distracted by the sparkle of gems, I translated my impulse into a passion for handmade jewelry.

In middle school, I made it a habit to run to discount shops almost every week and pick through their jewelry selections. I was almost never completely happy with the accessories, though - some tried too hard to be trendy, some were just outrageous, some too simple, and some were simply poorly assembled. After having amassed quite the collection of mass-produced jewelry over a couple of years, I borrowed a pair of pliers from my mother and went to town. That was the start of my crafting!

Today, I build my pieces from scratch, forming designs inspired by the combined variety of influences I've been exposed to. I do my best to accurately describe the materials and techniques I use, though if you have a question, just ask! I hope my shop will be able to provide you with just the right unique accent - whether you're looking for a simple burst of color, a piece adorned with vintage touches, or just a playful addition to your personal collection.

Anything that glittered or shined caught my eye as a child. I like to think I grew out of the glorified raccoon stage, though. Before, I ravaged my mother's jewelry box; now, I take my own collection with me wherever I go.

I cannot be responsible if any items are lost or damaged in transit. If you have purchased insurance, however, I will refund the price of the item [though unfortunately I cannot refund the shipping costs.] Insurance is not automatically included; you may request it through a message and I will alter the shipping price to include insurance for you. [USPS domestic insurance starts at $2.20.]

As stern as these policies sound, I'll judge individual cases as I see fit, and I will do whatever I think suits the situation best - so please don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions or concerns!
Once you make a purchase, please pay as soon as possible. I will ship the item out once I've received your payment. If you haven't paid within three days and have not responded to my inquiries, I will relist the item and report the transaction, so please let me know ASAP if you're having difficulties with the payment process!
I will ship your order with USPS First Class as soon as I can after receiving payment (generally within 2 days.) I'll send you a notice when I ship your order out. Expect domestic delivery to take anywhere between 3-12 business days, depending on the post office. Also, if your Paypal and Etsy addresses differ, I will ship to your Etsy address unless you specify otherwise.

For international customers, please note that you will be responsible for any additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees that exist for imports to your country.
Additional policies and FAQs
Just as a reminder, please be mindful of any allergies: I use different types of metals, clay, glue, glass, crystals, plastic, etc. Most of my metals are base metal alloys; I'll specify if they are plated.

Also, be aware that colors may appear differently on different computers/monitors. If you purchase an item and its color is slightly different from what you see on screen, that may be the reason.

As for caring for your jewelry, in general, keep pieces away from any moisture (this includes sweat and humidity) or extreme temperatures so they stay in top condition. For polymer clay items, be gentle with embedded hooks or glued-on mountings: though I use industrial-strength epoxy, you can never be too careful! If polymer clay pieces should ever get dusty (they attract dust more easily than metal parts), just use a damp cloth to gently wipe the pieces, and they should look good as new!
