About

Down to Earth Jewelry - inspiration from nature

I started making jewelry as a hobby. But I made more jewelry than my 2 daughters or I could wear! My business started with some personal sales, then I started attending craft fairs and finally decided to put some of my creations on Etsy.

My earliest creations were primarily strung beads. I then shifted to wirework, and I continue to improve my techniques with wirework and am excited to offer some of my own chain work. I buy a majority of my beads on Etsy. I love the variety of hand crafted beads out there made by some amazingly talented people. I also love using gemstones and have an obsession with Czech glass! I primarily use Vintaj brass wire and findings, but I have begun to use more copper. I love to mix metals so you will occasionally see some silver or pewter thrown in for contrast. I also enjoy making leather bracelets.

I love the outdoors, from the beach to the woods, so much of my inspiration for my jewelry I draw from nature. My love of nature prompted the name of my shop. My style of jewelry is very earthy and organic. Although many of my pieces are well suited for casual wear, they also look terrific for a dressy occasion.

I hope that you enjoy shopping my site.
