How did I get here?

That is the usual question I'm asked about my jewelry making venture. I have been making one-of-a-kind jewelry for my family members for years. I started when I was given a few small storage tubs of supplies from my mother. She was also a budding jeweler at one time. I have always loved jewelry. I had a definite flavor for the things that I prefer to wear.

Over the years, I've learned a lot of new techniques. I see a style I like and I can usually figure out how to make it work. I also love repurposing materials. I have a lot of broken jewelry, or I find interesting broken pieces at antique or second-hand stores. Instead of tossing my old, broken goodies out, I find a way to give them a new life.

One thing that I do take pride in is that I never remake a style. Reorders will always have a slight variation. This is a little personal promise to my customers that their creations are truly unique. Each piece is also infused with my Native American heritage. The designs, methods and construction methods are learned from others Native jewelers.

I love making jewelry. Every piece I make is a venture into a new love affair. When I hand them over to a new owner, I send it with all of that love.

I hope you enjoy the jewelry. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I'm Dine' (Navajo) and Acoma (Pueblo). I currently reside in Eugene, Oregon with my husband. My college-aged daughters are my inspiration and culture is my foundation. I find creative ways to merge the two in many of my contemporary Native designs.
